Self employed individual applying for Indian OCI

I work from home as a software consultant and I am applying for Indian OCI. how do I show my employment proof or is it even required to be submitted?

Hi i've just got my Surrender Certificate and now going to apply for OCI but i'm an Uber Driver and i don't have job letter! I've sent email to consulate and they told me to provide a detailed letters and also recent pay stubs. What should i write in the letter? Also, my emplyment is uber but i'm not drivjng for sometime now. What should i do? A letter describing everything fine?
