Hi everyone
I am a permanent resident of Canada.I was working for Scotia bank but in september 2024 i was laidoff when bank reduced 3% work force,,from that time i am networking and hired a career consultant too but till today i have not been re hired by any financial organisation of canada.
in the mean time i married too as it was previously decided.
right now i am getting EI which i will get till november 25.
my wife is a m.tech from india and appying for spousal visa.
i am showing funds which we have got.
i just want to know as uptill i have not got re hired whether my wife spousal visa will be acceptable.
request to advise.

If you are PR then sponsoring her for PR, not spousal visa (not sure that that is). As long as you aren't on social assistance then okay.

yes my brother i am sponsoring her for PR only family class but as i do not have job right now hence my worry.
though i am trying day and night everyday for job.

The most important thing is that you have the savings to support your family. Whether it is a good idea for your spouse to arrive when you are unemployed is an entirely different discussion.
