Hello,

I applied my Canadian citizenship in October 2024. I gave my citizenship test in January 2025. I received the fingerprint request from IRCC and I am currently in New Zealand for few months. Is it possible to get my fingerprints from New Zealand or I have to travel back to Canada?

Thanks,
Jasmeen Kaur

My bad, I stand corrected.

In case other readers of this thread get confused, Seym's link is for visa and PR related fingerprinting, which can be done outside of Canada, while OP's link is specifically for citizenship.
Well, it sucks, but it's part of the logistics of applying for citizenship and leaving for a long period right after I guess :/

Well, there might still be a way: https://www.redsealnotary.com/services/rcmp-fingerprints-outside-canada/

They don't list NZ (and I doubt OP still needs help anyways) but they have good global coverage, including Australia.
so its mean you have to come back for fingerprints no choice

Yeah, I'm not 100% sure on the above - especially since the link for citizenship FP says that the prints must be done "electronically in Canada"...
