No news on Feb applications . No update

None for me. Even though we're technically still within the 10 months processing period, the wait is definitely draining, especially when trying to make out of Canada travel plans while ensuring it won't clash with whenever they schedule the oath for, or seeing some people who applied in March & April already getting their oaths and certificates. My last update was my background check on May 31, so going on 2 months now

Hi all,

AOR- Feb 20th. Last update May 15th BG check complete.

I called IRCC and they told me that my file is under processing and has been transferred to Kitchener office. I'm based in Kitchener but I read online that Kitchener does not handle any processing like BG checks, LPP processing etc but are mostly involved in scheduling oaths etc. What could this mean? My LPP is in progress. Anyone else has had their application processed in Kitchener. Please and thank you!

I got a ghost update Saturday night (nothing changed on the account but all the old items were marked as New). So I called IRCC Monday morning and the agent said everything on my application was completed and they are waiting on the officer.

LPP is still processing

How long after a ghost update does the tracker get updated for LPP?

Tracker got another ghost update on July 22, 2025, then today July 29, 2025 I received an email invite to a new Citizenship to Passport initiative email, from IRCC Calgary office.

Does anyone took this program? Is it good or just unlocks another anxious journey?

Tracker got another ghost update on July 22, 2025, then today July 29, 2025 I received an email invite to a new Citizenship to Passport initiative email, from IRCC Calgary office.

Does anyone took this program? Is it good or just unlocks another anxious journey?

The reports on here so far have been quite positive - much easier, can do from home (except for getting photograph done), submission easy (online), and I think those who did it got passports 7-15 days after. And they don't require a guarantor.

I don't know if that's a guarantee for delivery wise so i suppose that's a risk.

But on the other side: if you do it yourself, while you COULD get it done that quickly or even faster if truly urgent, it would take going to passport office yourself etc.

Same situation for me. Ghost update Saturday dawn. Nothing changed. Old items marked as new. Called ircc on Monday and was informed everything is completed and to wait for final decision.
