I am eligible for citizenship for Canada. I will be travelling back home in January and February. My passport expires on March 03, 2025. Should I renew my passport or shld I apply for citizenship? Let me know what should i do? Thanks.

Personally I would renew passport and apply for citizenship when you get back. Ensures you’re in Canada if they ask for info, etc, etc. just my input.

You definitely should apply to renew the passport. While it's possibly you'd get citizenship done before then, you'll definitely be stressing while waiting since you plan to return home.

I do not see any reason to delay applying for citizenship though. Apply now. If you get it before your travel - great.
