Hey everyone, with my timeline, what are the odds I'll get my Passport in the next few weeks? I have a trip coming up and I'm really anxious whether I'll make it or not
March 31: Application Submitted
April 25: AOR
May 23: Test Invite
May 30: Test Taken
Jun 4: Test Marked Completed
Jun 10: Background Verification Completed
No update since.
Also, a quick question, how do you guys see a ghost update on this tracker?

can not say much IRCC work different on each cases.
Mine is - AOR April 2nd
Test completed - may 29
Background information - June 18
Nothing after that
Unrealistic to think all remaining stages, oath, and passport will be complete in a few weeks.

Hey same here. Did you get an fp request? I am only suspecting this happened to me like this because wife had fp request and her bg isnt complete yet. But she also got physical and physical presence done.

Ghost update is when you see the tracker is updated but the status of all the individual items remains same as before, and when you logout and login again the update message is gone. Also to answer your question it will be un-realistic to think you will get passport in next few weeks, if anything getting passport itself from date of application takes about 4~ 6 weeks on a regular timeline, there is an option of urgent issue of passport but that's for exceptional circumstances related to health concerns of self or family members.

My personal background is complete but i didnt get any fp requeat. However wife did and her bg isnt complete still in progress. When you say you get stuck, means weeks, months?
For those who can apply and pick-up in person, the standard of service is now 10 business days (so two weeks), only an extra $20 for pick-up. Receiving by mail - reasonably fast now but dependent on Canada Post. (A caveat that submitting at a non-passport office - plain service canada - they are also mailing it to the passport office, but they do provide the service of checking that you haven't made errors).
After that there are a few different options - express pick-up for $50 or so, no proof required.
It's only urgent travel - passport next day - that requires some proof (as well as an even higher fee). Basically only proof of paid-for tickets in short order OR family emergency or similar, but they'll also take a written statement. (There is something else I think if you need the passport on a weekend or statutory holiday, and caveat that it may not be possible.

Personally I recommend applying in person with the pick-up option, but of course not realistic for everyone.
Received Oath letter today: July 15, 2025. In-person ceremony.
I am so lucky that it took nearly 4 months from the submission date to Oath letter (115 days). Hope everyone has a quick process!
