@Miss bee I have a question. My PR tracker isnt working. Its circles around and comes back to the same main page. Its been 2 months like that. Another thing is can i request ircc on my portal 1 to get a Passport request at my local home country embassy because i will be staying at home for a while so if they can do it and how long it might take them to transfer my file to local embassy

If your PR tracker has not been functioning properly
for two months—constantly refreshing and returning to the main page—it could be due to a technical glitch in the system. Try clearing your browser cache, using a different browser, or accessing the tracker in incognito mode. If the issue persists, you should report the problem using the IRCC webform under “technical difficulties.”
Regarding your request to receive a passport request (PPR) at your home country’s embassy due to your travel plans, you can inform IRCC through the Permanent Residence Portal (Portal 1) or via the webform, depending on where your application is being processed. Clearly explain your situation and provide your expected travel dates and the embassy location. IRCC may accommodate your request by transferring your file to the appropriate visa office, though it is at their discretion. The timeline for such a transfer can vary widely—from a few weeks to a couple of months—depending on the workload and internal processes at IRCC and the embassy. It’s advisable to notify them well in advance of your travel to increase the chances of a smooth transition.

Hi All, I m a bit confused if I should do an upfront medical exam? I applied in August 2024 and after Aor , I havent heard anything. But it seems like August applicants are getting their PAL etc. So I would think of getting an upfront medical exam to expedite my process if it helps.

Hello! by way of update- I got my PR confirmation email today. It asked me -
1) to confirm that i am staying in Canada,
2) My Canada mailing address
3) Photo for PR card.

All done and submitted.

So reached the final step and am waiting for the PR card now (approx 46 days processing time). It has been a long journey since Aug16, 2023 when I first applied for Express of Interest(EOI) for OINP. Applied for PR on July 23rd, 2024 and today, May 23, 2025 got the PR confirmation. What I have learnt in these 2 years is not to stress yourself. IRCC will respond as per their timeline. There is no use in checking the portal or any sheet on daily basis. Some candidates might get a few of the stages early, while some might get them late. But the average overall processing time is almost the same (leaving a few cases). So all the best to all of you. Relax....your PR is on its way. God bless you all.

According to the spreadsheet, no. It seems like they're not sending AORs within 5 months anymore...

Medical may be waived if you are in Canada. Typically not a great idea to do upfront medicals because they expire in a year.

I applied for bowp on Oct'2024 and was refused due to the reason "PR eligibility need to be passed". I applied BOWP again with restoration. I am really upset since I cannot work for months.

Is that a new rule for non ee BOWP? I heard many non ee people got approved with only aor and pnp letter before. My pr PVO is Winnipeg which makes thing even worse.

Unfortunately, IRCC has become stricter with BOWP approvals for non-Express Entry applicants, especially since late 2023. While many applicants in the past received BOWPs based solely on their AOR and provincial nomination, more recent cases—especially those processed through offices like Winnipeg—are seeing refusals unless eligibility is clearly passed in the system. This appears to be more of a shift in internal processing policy rather than an officially published new rule. The inconsistency between applicants and processing offices makes the situation even more difficult to navigate.
It’s really unfortunate that you’ve been caught in this gap, especially when other parts of your PR application are progressing. If your restoration and BOWP are still under review, it might help to submit a webform explaining your situation and highlighting the progress on your PR file. If refused again, you may need to explore alternative options such as an LMIA-based work permit, if feasible, or consider staying in maintained status (visitor) while waiting for eligibility to be confirmed.

That's a brutal reason to get refused, sorry to hear that. I would suggest to seek a lawyer for opinion on whether to go for reconsideration or just apply for restoration.

Yes it shows the same status. Once you receive the medical result and got it passed the status will change. Other than that nothing has been changed for myself.
