Are you hard if comprehension?
I am a refugee as my name states! I am proud and made a great life here in Canada!
A refugee can complain and should when they are stateless !

youmy friend arenit a refugee!
You are safe and you are free!

you have the right to work and travel wherever you want like I do!

I don’t need a Canadian passport but yes it is a privilege to have one!

You and I and nobody else on this thread who have applied for citizenship are any different!

So once again we all r frustrated for the long wait times but the majority here are acting like Canada owes them citizenship and a passport!

I’ll say it again “THEY DONTTTTT”

Now instead of making demands on Canada, go to work, obey the laws and play your part pay the tax man n be happy!

End of discussion
It’s not a privilege it’s a right after we meet the requirements and eligibility controlled by the law.

The privilege is when Canada gives you a status after being stateless for 3 years :). You came as a refugee so you have to be thankful for the food and shelter provided.

We are here to discuss our process of citizenship, and it looks like everyone is against you, so plz stop commenting here and go pray to Trudeau that he gave you food and shelter.

Everyone? I only see 2 -3 people responding!
You know why? Cause anyone with half a brain knows what I’m saying is absolutely and emphatically FACT!
In case you don’t know what that means is that they may not like what I say or how I say it, but they can see assuredly that what I’m saying is legit and true!
Usually the ones offended or angry are the ones guilty ! Like you maybe?

Yes it is a great and honourable privilege to be a Canadian citizen and to be gifted their passport!

Yes Canada is a heaven!
It’s actually the best country in the western world if not top 3!

If you don’t believe this then why are you crying so much for a passport and citizenship?

I swear the world has gone bananas crazy!!

Your posts from 2017 indicate that you were seeking assistance everywhere to obtain Canadian Refugee Travel Document (RTD) ;) ,
for example

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/rtd-passport-confusion.530764/
Exactly my point! I am a PR just like you now!
I now have an RTD so why the rush for passport?
I can travel where I want to!

You get one too and stop crying! Not only refugees like me can get it!

Or use your home passport!
Why can’t you use your home passport? You said you are not refugee so what’s the problem? Are you done criminal on the run? Are you gonna be arrested if you renew your passport?
Nothing you’re saying is adding up here !
Hmmmmmm

Hello everyone except one insensitive piece of crap on this forum,

I found the forum to be very productive and helpful throughout my immigration journey. Indeed, there were situations when I did not agree with someone's opinion but I kept it to myself. No point wasting my and their time in arguing for no reason.

Someone (sorry my friend, I am being lazy to search your name in the thread :D)in this group really suggested a good thing to ignore this person and also stop replying to his post.

If someone is saying that their father has Stage 3 Cancer and they want to see them before the time is up. In my opinion, only the scum of the earth can reply back suggesting to use death certificate for travelling.

Just ignore Refugee idiot and stop replying to him. He will leave once he sees, he is not getting any response.

@hemeda2 I hope your father get well soon and you see him in no time. God can do anything. Just pray for his health.

I mentioned everywhere I am protected person, I do't have passport from home (CBSA sized it + expired) , and I can't get a visa on my Refugee Travel Document (RTD) because the country where my father is undergoing chemotherapy doesn't recognize the RTD at all not just visa issue.

There are many countries, such as the UAE and Qatar etc.. , that do not recognize Refugee Travel Documents (RTDs) and they are not signatories to the 1951 Refugee Convention

You never know what people are going through. I'm sure everyone in this forum has their own situation, when they post their frustration and anger this is because they are really stressed out and hopeless , so it's important to be respectful, polite, considerate, and kind.

I'm not a grant-DF and will hopefully never be, but I pop in here from time to time to empathize but also give myself some perspective. I read the exchanges this morning and I will say, Refugee, I hope you recover from whatever is hurting you. I have been following hemeda's story intently over the last few weeks and unless someone is a heartless SOB, which I am sure you aren't, Refugeee, they wouldn't respond to them in the manner that you have.

As someone above said, let's all be kind to each other, you might think all is rosey because a PR is applying for citizenship, but for a lot of us there are a bunch of reasons that make getting this citizenship important, and that's why we sometimes get invested in it and spend hours weekly on this forum making sure we are being processed at the right pace.

I wish you all speedy process here onward, especially Hemeda. I hope you get to see your father, and that he gets to see your face again.

Thank you!.

Because doing it wrong way will cause significant delay. it will takes months to fix it.

But myself I have other nice plans like going to Ottawa parliament to make noise for my MP or at least sending letters to opposition parties MPs+MPPs ( this worked for me partially :D my MP never replied to email or answered phone for 2 months) once I emailed my MPP (from NDP) she seemed was not happy also with the MP, even though immigration is NOT MPP concerns but she went so far to call the LIB MP on their personal phone and email :D , following up every day until she was sure the MP contacted me directly . (even though the MP after checking just told me to wait!!)

This is what makes me find all excuses for IRCC. I mean if my MP office don't want even care to just pick up phone call for 2 months, why IRCC should do more? you can't believe that, the responses I get from IRCC sometimes re amore informative and seem more caring about my case than the one I get from MP.
My MP said "wait until IRCC schedule you", VS IRCC said "sorry to hear this but there are mandatory further verification pending from partner"

if those MPs are the people who suppose to advocate for us, who are elected by our communities, should help us at these hard times acting likes this not even want to hear your voice for 1 min, why I should be even mad at IRCC at first, that's the honest question for myself
Why don’t you use ur father’s medical status as an urgent request and send it to the IRCC as long as ur RTD is not accepted where ur
father lives? I have a similar situation and a bit hesitant to send it , I don’t wanna ruin my process even though I don’t lie in my father’s health.

Hey guys,
We are here to find hope while we are waiting for our ceremony. Just relax and don't discuss with each other.
I want to officially say that, DF is "derogatory refer flag" which is appear on one of my friend CBSA note.
I am not allowed to share his not because of the privacy but he was a refugee and traveled to out of Canada fo 7days. He didn't know he couldn't renew his passport and he had to use RTD instead. I think CBSA or IRCC officer wait for the boarder police of country he traveled to make sure he didn't go back home while he had a protected status in Canada.

So he did not use a refugee travel document but used his home country passport is that correct?
