I applied to bring my sister on December 12th. Just got the application returned because of "missing required information and/or documents". When I go to the portal, for her birth certificate it says "This document is incomplete, please review and update the document.". The document that we submitted was a translation of her birth certificate with the original. All the other documents were submitted the same and from the same translator and were approved.
2 questions:
1. Is there any way to find out what exactly is missing? is not clear
2. It says that they have reached capacity does that mean we can no longer submit the corrected document (once we figure out what is wrong with this one)?

thank you
That’s what in means, they won’t be accepting your family member application anymore. It wasn’t deemed complete therefore removed from the queue, you can try and give them a call, but you never received an application number, so for the agent would be hard to find information on your application
Have you put your birth certificate as well to prove relationship? If not, probably that’s the one missing

I’d use the web form to send the document.
Some of my family members are in Chile and none of them take the program you must pay.
Thank you for your response. Could you tell us where we can fin a link for the web form? is it provided by them? we have checked all of the emails and there is not mentioned of anything. Thank you!

My brother received the letter to book his medical exam on Jan 31st. On the letter says that he has 30 days to complete it.
He went to the medical office today to schedule his medical check up and found out that the doctor is fully booked until April 19th!. Secretary at the office said that there's not much they can do and basically said "take it or leave it". There's one single doctor authorized by IRCC in the entire city to do the medical exam which is crazy!
Anyone else had the same issue? If so, what did you guys do?
Thank you in advance!

Similar story with my brother in Bogotá. Stuck waiting to get an appointment, except that in this case, we don't even know when. Anyone here from Bogota has any tips on how to get an appointment?

Regarding what to do, in the letter it says you can alert CIC of the delay.

You will need to inform IRCC as soon as you can since IRCC takes around 14 days to respond and to continue to try to find a spot. Meanwhile IRCC can extened the 30 days window for you based on the situation. Just put a proper and simple explanation and they will tell you what to do.

My brother, his wife and daughter just received each the following email from the VAC:

The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. (REMOVED) has been received from the IRCC Office on 2024/02/13 at the Canada Visa Application Centre, and is ready for collection.

Application sent in November, Fingerprints and Medical done in January, and background request from IRCC on Jan 24 (replied with required documents in Feb 6) . What does this mean? They haven't received any other communication from IRCC,

It looks like they are requesting passports for visa stamps.

Congratulations! I’m pretty sure that means they are approved! I think the decision packet will have the authorization paper to travel. Can I ask what country you are from?

They called the VAC yesterday, and the center said that the last update from their application on their records is the submission of fingerprints, that they don't have any envelope from IRCC, and did not give a reason why are receiving this email.

Not sure if good news or not at this point, so waiting only for official IRCC communication was advised.

They are applying from Colombia. I think they need a stamp visa to travel, so a passport request is usually received first over such email, this is why we have found the situation very strange.

Does the police certificate confirmation email from G4S need to be translated?

Just got the request to send the police certificate and I understand that since we don't get the actual certificate the confirmation email is to be sent instead. But not sure if it's worth translating since it is in Spanish and technically everything has to be in English?

Hello, what is happening here is a notification email from the VAS meaning your biometrics have been sent to the corresponding office. It is not related to anything else. It is a standard but confusing notification I know o_O
