So complete silence since BG got updated on June 19. I ended up filing application record on July 11 and was under impression that DOJ has 30 days to respond to AR. Not all mandamus cases are being approved. I filed the second stage of mandamus and awaiting. Clearly, IRCC is aware of the backlog in the Federal Court and that it could take months before any hearing is scheduled (if approved). Thanks but honestly I will keep my hopes in check for now. With IRCC, nothing is guaranteed. Dates: 30 April - 1st step of mandamus filed 2 June - no decision letter from IRCC 12 June - 2nd step of mandamus filed Awaiting to hear from DOJ 21 June - BG done- Sywaseem

All of the above comments make sense. Here is my mandamus story. I filed for the judicial review on my own at 16 month mark (Aug 2023 applicant stuck at BG/Security). Got the usual no decision letter. Spoke to a lawyer who advised to withdraw the review as 16 months is least likely to result...- Sywaseem
