I got FP request from Case Processing Office Sydney (Grant). This is different to previous fingerprint request which came from Vancouver office. Was it the same for your spouse?

yes , last time it was Vancouver. This time it was Sydney

My background check was marked as completed on October 27, but the next day, October 28, it switched back to “In Progress.” On October 29, I received a third fingerprint request, which I completed on November 6. Following that, my background status changed to “Completed” again on November 22.

Could you please advise if this latest update means my background check is now fully completed, or is it common for the status to revert back to “In Progress” after some time?

Of course it's up to you, but the lawyer said they work with all of Canada and you basically doesn't have to be present physically at a court (if it even get to this stage).

remote communication is basically free these days

Anyway, what I know so far about pricing - 1st step $2K, 2nd step $3K, OR you could agree to pay for 1st+2nd step together - then it's $4.5K. and 3rd and final step - basically taking case to a court is ~$4K. I might be wrong tho, you're free to read about it on their website, or have a free 15minutes consultation with them.
I'll send you a link to a webinar recording with them, so you can decide yourself if it worth it or not.

I don't think any of Dec 2023 applicants who are in security screening pool has made it through. We have seen some August applicants made it recently. I am October applicant, AOR November 1, 2023 and still stuck in background and prohibition.
