    To all of those curious, we were able to reenter Canada without a hitch. Explained the situation to the immigration officer, he just took a 5 second glance at her email that says she is a PR now and said we are good to go.

    Holy cow, I didn't know they upped it to 34 months. 12 months seems reasonable all of the sudden :D We have sent my wife's application in early July last year and received P1 on 19 of June, so just little over 11 months for us. Hopefully this will be all over soon. As for the 34 month wait...
