    We're in the same boat. However, it's strange that the eligibility process hasn't started yet. I'm not an expert enough to know whether this is normal or not. I hope they won't force you to redo the medical exams !

    Same for us. We applied in July 2024. No updates since his medical exams at the end of December 2024, so it’s been almost a year now. The background check has been in progress for a year too. It’s such a long and exhausting wait, and it’s nowhere close to being over.

    I just noticed today that IRCC has updated its processing time. You can now check, based on your application date, roughly how many months are left and how many people are ahead of you in line. Pretty cool to finally have a clearer idea of where things stand!
