When I check the processing times for work permits (new and renewal) on the website, it’s now up to 258 days! At this rate, his permanent residence might only be granted toward the end...

    Same situation here. Applied on July 24, 2024. No updates since Jan 2025. The background check hasn’t even started yet. Nothing has moved for over a year.
