    September 2022 applicant here. Principal applicant got pr in April 2025 dependents recieved biometric request in October 2025, got medicals, pcc, updated imm forms request on February 28 2026 still waiting….

    The Canadian immigration is changing have y’all seen the new processing time for a protected person in Canada ? Though it doesn’t apply to old applicants but my thought is the dependents!!

    Officially, IRCC counts processing time from the day a complete application is received . However, in practice dependent files are often held back until the principal’s file is finalized and/or until the visa office (eg. Accra) has capacity, your statements are accurate in different ways.     No!!! that’s not possible it doesn’t work like that unless there’s an issue it could exceed. The current processing time is 50 months and we are very close to that… you are tryna say the processing time is about 80 months and above, wrong!!! haven’t seen any case like that, I don’t think you...
