My COR is India, AOR 28h DEC-2019, REMEDICAL COMPLETED - 09-01-2022. Thinking of doing upfront PCC.
Is your security background verification check showing as in progress? I heard pcc is required for security check. So if it's valid not sure if i also should do upfront pcc. @legalfalcon Can you pls advise that if security background verification is showing as valid, is it safe to assume that pcc is not required, or its advisable to still do upfront pcc? Your replies are greatly appreciated!!

Hi all,
Although this is my first post in this forum, I have been following this thread closely since the beginning of my journey (also in Dec 2019).

Just want to share that finally my application has been approved. Here is my timeline:
  • FSW
  • COR: Vietnam
  • VO: Ottawa
  • AOR: Dec 12th, 2019
  • 1st Medical: November 2019 (for work permit)
  • 2nd upfront medical: January 2021
  • Moved to Canada (under work permit) in March 2021
  • Requested for Schedule A Form on November 20th 2021, submitted within a few days
  • Medical extended on Feb 17th 2022
  • Permanent Residence Portal request (because I am currently in Canada): February 25th 2022
I has been skeptical recently due to the situation in Ukraine but this is an indicator that they are still processing FSW applications. So hopefully everyone of us will have our applications approved soon!

PS: haihttran: I read many of your posts. You and I we have the same COR so hopefully yours will be finalized soon.

Hi..Was your security check showing as in progress when they asked u for pcc again? Mine is saying that it's currently valid, so not sure if i should do upfront pcc. In my city as well most appointments for pcc are after a week of wait time. Maybe you can try doing pcc in a smaller city closer to you if it's allowed. Ive noticed some of them have earlier appointments.
Actually my security check was blank as per GCMS notes (03-03-2021), but criminality was passed. They didn't ask me to do re PCC. But i am thinking to safe time- we do it.

Actually PCC is valid for 6 months in India. And medical is 1 year - IRCC had such a dumb process to execute - officers asked for remedical first but not PCC, then gave PPR for 2020 applicants. Just do PCC it cost 500 inr only i assume. COrrect me i am wrong.

Yes, In gckey it show "We are processing your background check".I tried to go with another smaller city but that's not allowed, PCC must be applied from PSK under whose jurisdiction your area comes. So, I am trying to get PCC done from SSP office of my district. I will submit this PCC and will request IRCC to extend timeframe given if district PCC is not acceptable with PSK appointment proof. I hope they will grant some more time.

that's not always true for every PSK. They are blocking the appointments by some way to earn extra money.
