Hi, sep 2019, passed the test on dec 2021 and recieved pp request on janurary 22. What happens next?
Based in your timeline it looks like your BG checks would have expired and be re-done. When they will re-do it nobody knows, but since your PP has been requested it should be soon enough. Next you will wait for all the parameters to set to complete (no estimated time line) after which you would wait for oath (2-5 months approx.)

Again these are just estimates and educated guesses at best, the time taken varies from case to case.

In my case I got oath invite in 2 days after everything completed, whereas some got it in 2 weeks and others 2-6 months

I am an August 2020 applicant as well and can feel your pain.

Unfortunately the Scarborough office has indicated to many applicants who contacted them that the oath slots are fully booked until end of April 2022. That being said, it entirely depends on the officer handling your file and your case itself. Each file is different and so is the movement. If your file resumes to the next step sooner than later, you can expect to be done with the oath by Spring/Summer or Fall 22’ hopefully sooner provided slots open up owing to cancellations etc.

Thanks. My citizenship test hasn't even started though. Is 4 months since BG complete normal? Any idea what average times are?

When did you apply? Any issues with BG check or anything?
Applied May 31, 2019. App received June 5th, 2019. Requested for fingerprints Oct 2019. BG completed in Nov 2019. Citizenship test updated to in progress March 2020. COVID happened. BG went from completed to in progress in August 2021. Got another request for fingerprints in August 2021 since my fingerprints from 2019 expired, submitted them, BG completed for the second time in September. Got test invite on January 2022 and citizenship test updated to completed in Jan 2022. Everything else remains in progress and oath remains as not started. Hope this helps.

Hopefully, just hang in there! You'll eventually become a Canadian one day. I know it's frustrating seeing the 2021 applicants get prioritized while it seems like we're forgotten but everything will fall into place!
