Visitor visa for mom/father in law aug 2020, forgot to select reasons of travel as other and COVID-19? What now?

Hi

We applied for visitor visa for my mom/father in law in aug 2020 as we were expecting baby in oct 2020. We forgot to mention reason of travel as other and COVID-19 in 5257e, probably that why they did not processed the file. My mom/father in law got biometric appointment in sep 2021 no update after that. filled webforms ..just got standard replies,, tried calling ircc numbers waited for hours and call is disconnected. Do we need to reapply?
