Does anyone know how long does it take for the certificate to arrive after the oath ceremony?

Hello all! I did the test on Aug 21 and 2 days after my background and test shows completed. But recently on Oct 2 I received the requested letter for photocopies of passports and need to mail to them. But I saw many ppl are requested to email.
1. I’d like to know should I get any confirmation after I mail them copies of passports?
2. Does anyone status change after they email the copies of passports and how long it will take?

Hi, how long did it take to change on Citizenship status after you sent photocopies of your passport? I submitted the information by email, and it still says waiting on you after 10 days. Also I didn't receive an automated confirmation email, does that matter? thanks.

Located in Ottawa. Do you know if it is possible to get it next day. My Oath is on a Wednesday, planning to get to Ottawa on Tuesday, then come back on Saturday. Have you heard of anyone who was able to do a similar thing?

you can try telling them during the oath and see if they can accommodate that

What date is your oath? and when were you scheduled?

Anyone still waiting for the test? Many Feb applicants have already received oath invitations. I have not even took the test yet. No update after background verification completed. Anybody in the same boat? :-(

I am facing a strange situation here. I appeared in an interview and seems that everything went fine. The officer looked satisfied and since then all the stages got completed including physical presence & prohibitions, but the next step shows as 'Interview Required'. I wonder if anyone has faced such a situation where all the stages except 'Oath Ceremony' are completed and then being called for a second interview? Pls advise or share your experiences.

My timeline looks like this now:

Applied (Online) on: Feb 26
AOR Received on: August 09, 2021
Background check completed on: Sept 16
Received online Test invitation on: Nov 15
Citizenship Test completed: Dec 7
Received citizenship interview invitation: Jan 6, 2022

Physical presence completed: Feb 2

They asked me for photocopies of passport as well.
After sending those, my status didn't change for more than a month

Oh ok, thanks for letting me know. Did it also take a month to change from "waiting on you" on your Citizenship status ? or did that change before.

Yes, but it is not guaranteed. You ask for the certificate to be expedited and that's it. How long it takes is really up to the mailing service that IRCC uses (Canada Post, FedEx, UPS, Purolator, etc) and is up to how far you are located from the office that handles your case. If you are in Ottawa and the office is Ottawa, I believe it can be the next day, but if you are in Ottawa and the office is Niagara Falls for example, I believe it could at least take 2 days. If I were you, I would give it at least 5 business days to get the certificate and passport.

You have to provide evidence that you need the certificate quickly, either a plane ticket or a job offer that needs the certificate.

Hi, hope y’all are doing well. I’ve been following this forum but posting for the first time. Just curious to know if anyone else here has similar status as mine. I know a lot of people are waiting and it’s random but hoping to hear back your views -

No update since then.. still waiting

Glad to share that received an update for the citizenship test, yesterday. But no email yet, is that normal ? And do I have to schedule the test or just take it any day between the days provided ?
