I will give you one piece of advice... don't compare anything to do with metrics or numbers between Canada and the USA, you will just be depressed
I don't get this whole pissing contest about how the US is better than Canada thing lol. Yea there are more jobs but anyone can get a job if they try enough, wait and put in the effort. How much money a country has is irrelevant if that is being hoarded by just a few people. I can do a few comparisons though where canada ranks higher...

Is this the map of levels of Chinese invasion of the west? Red must show a higher level of invasion and greens must be heaven for people of western culture. I guess the numbers indicate the severity of the damage done by the commie Chinese.
I have lived in four colors. Green is the best.

common sense index also higher in favour of Canada...especially in the last 6 years :).

Yeah for the last 10 years interest rates were at historical low

Us companies actively hire Canadians for remote jobs, so it is possible to get the best of both worlds in tech

Mostly Tech companies allow it. They do mention that "Remote allowed in Canada and US" in their job posting. You can literally get the US salary on Canadian soil. So any whining beyaaches think they are getting low balled in Canada, try reaching out to US recruiters for a Job. They will listen to you.

Worst people in the world are unksilled low CRS sub IELTS 7 NOC C (but wrote a false work letter to jump to NOC B) CEC candidates. The government has now banned CECs because they simply are just not qualified. CECs will soon be deported. I think CECs should be put in prison too since their CRS scores are criminally low despite all the EE boosts. Some low score CECs might be double agents too so Canada should be careful.

Loolol, CEC vs PNPs which is more honorable?

looks like we should all be trying to immigrate to Norway :D .

Wait what year is this from?! There is no way Indiana is more expensive than Michigan. 40 grand a year in Michigan will get you one of those 1$ homes Detroit used to sell lol. Or some upper peninsula home in the middle of nowhere.
Except for some parts of Detroit, you can afford a home with 30 minutes driving to downtown DTW. Of course, 40 grand could not. But 70 grand could.

Canada needs to start 'thumping the table' on potato exports, says P.E.I. premier

Canada has lost the thread in its negotiations with the United States to resume exports of P.E.I. potatoes, says Premier Dennis King.

"We aren't thumping the table, so to speak, enough to get a firm and fast commitment," King told Island Morning host Mitch Cormier Tuesday.

I am curious how this calculated and what means home by us standards? Detached house for family of 4? And you acquiring it while living solo on one income? Usually they give some basis like the size of the property when they show statistics mapping like this

Totally agreed. All of west coast of North America is under Chinese invasion. East coast is similar but invaded also by all sorts of other easterners. Midwest is the last castle of true westerners.

Asking this question is an insult to the almighty masters of immigration: PNP nominees

Dude its not a pissing contest. As someone who moved from the US, it was natural for me (and everyone I know) to compare prices, living, salary and other things. In the qualitative metrics, Canada wins like safety, lack of crazy nutjobs but in number terms it's incomparable which is why I'm suggesting to not compare. All those metrics you listed are aggregate/nominal whatever you want to call it, not individual.

The first time the change hit me when when a 19$ rum cost 36$ in Canada, man i was so sad. I couldn't even get depressed cheaply

What is your solution Mr. Kankaru? How can we deal with this?

That's generalized data. Ignore that. But my personal experience is that in Detroit, you can get a house under 150k (3bd 2 bath) in a decent neighborhood. You can afford with a 60k annual income. for a single person. A family with 1 kid may need an 80k annual income to afford this house. But in most US cities, houses are available for a wide range of income groups.
