Hello. Does anyone knows how soon after arriving in Alberta do fresh PRs get insurance coverage? I am asking because my wife is pregnant and considering to give birth after arrival.

If you or your wife is a PR you will have coverage immediately. You will need to move to Alberta permanently and stay for a minimum of 12 months. If you leave Alberta before 12 months you can be asked to reimburse all the medical expenses.
