Finally! Received the Citizenship Certificate today in the mail. Ceremony completed on Dec. 18th. File was marked closed on online status on Dec. 20th. CanadaPost stamp has Jan. 13th date which means they sent it that day. And after 1 month we received the certificate. See my signature for complete timeline.

anyone got oath email or a tracker update re oaths this week?
would be helpful to know if ssauga office has woken up and smelled the coffee.

hope they dont use the excuse that the storm this week has hampered the progress they were hoping for alongwith ongoing COVID and Afghanistan crisis.

May I ask ( and yes it differs for everyone) but how was it from when your decision was made to Oath invitation?
Got Decision Made early June 2021. When I asked, I was told oath ceremonies are first in first out basis.. but this clearly isn't the case.

i know this forum doesnt provide a sufficient trend re all the applicants out there but 1-2 oaths reported a week here worries me tbh
People report that there are at least around 40-50 people in a ceremony. Someone recently reported that there were about 70ish participants in their ceremony.

But I guess it comes down to how many ceremonies they schedule every week. To get rid of the backlog (at some point in time), they need to schedule enough so that they can take care of more applicants than they did before the pandemic but that is definitely not the case right now.
