Do you guys really think IRCC will not conduct any draws till June and sensibly clear the backlog?

I think they mentioned June 2022 in the memo because anyone invited after June will most likely not get PR this year so they will count towards next year's target which sounds logical but I don't trust IRCC at all.
Yep if they say June then the realistic expectation is Dec 2022 because of Canada speed.

My biggest rage in this memo is the part where they say less than 50% of the distribution of express entry (110k) should go to express entry(estimated backlog of 76k) while the rest go to fix their fuckup with refugees and TR2PR. Seriously, wtf. That would mean 10s of thousands would wait another year to make room for backlogged TR2PR again. Process the EE backlog, use the remaining on refugees and screw TR2PR that should never have existed in the first place.
I missed this part when reading up on the memo, but what makes you say it’s going to be 50% of the express entry backlog they would admit. I think this would more specifically factor in to any invitations being issued from this year no?

The memo said to cut FHS targets by 50% in the levels plan so they can accommodate other priorities, which happen to be TR2PR/Afghan.

The remaining 50% will go to CEC. Just do a couple of mega draws and be done with it.

I keep coming back to why the fuck people have to file ATIP requests just to get morsels of information on what IRCC plans to do. These clowns actually have a Communicatios department, and a Director General of Comms that they employ. And yet, they can’t communicate with clients and stakeholders.

If other organizations/ agencies had little to no transparency with regards to their operations, they’d be overhauled.

I’m not sure if I’m interpreting the numbers correctly. So they were planning to invite 110.5k FHS, now they will have to reduce this number to 55k. And they have 79k backlogs. It is enough for 2022. But they mentioned in the memo that the backlog is enough to meet 2021-2023 targets. How?

I think by “2021-2023” they mean the 2022 annual target specified in the three-year levels plan of 2021-2023 that was released in Feb 2021. So it’s like each year they plan for the year and the next two, and 2021-2023 was the latest plan on the table at the time of the memo.

Please professionals. Help me with my trouble.

I have been reading some forums online that EE applicant who picked/ticked "NO" for question on being refused visa to any other country apart from Canada. Would be misrepresentation, while had US visa refused 2 years prior to EE submission.

I have raised a webform to mention it is "YES" before the MEP and BIL and now seems the R10 has been completed.

For the web form no response up to today.

Please is there any cause for alarm?

The part of EE PR Application that the question of visa been refused should have stand alone not combine with other categories of application.

Thanks for your comment
a visa being refused in the past won't affect pr application, simply be honest in disclosing all details via an LOE if it requires an explanation.
But in most cases applicant's failing to disclose it while submitting the application and ircc finding it out later will cause serious troubles.
But if it's a honest mistake like forgetting while submission then send an LOE asap.

Two things that don't make sense with the memorandum, in my opinion. First, we are seeing PPRs being issued from late 2019 to late 2020, even early 2021 for some FSW inlanders. If the processing time were to be extended to 36 months in 2022, we would be only seeing PPRs from early 2019 (of which there doesn't seem to be many). Second, as this was released in November for recommendations, we are not sure as to what eventually happened with respect to these notes. Were they accepted by Sean Fraser?

if i am right then they were asking it to halt since dec 2020 and the months kept on changing and it's now 2022, so them specifying a month is of no use. just consider it's halted indefinitely.
The only benefit of all such shits were JT getting a minority and another term to rule. Anything for votes and money. Tr2Pr is the category that benefitted from this JT leech.

Hi.

Thank you.

My AOR was July 2021, I submitted a webform on Aug-2021 regarding the mistake and inform them to update the information to YES. IRCC sent a generic response that they are busy with Afghan situation and Covid-19 affecting their process.

I received MEP and BIL Nov-2021

In my webform I information them that I could not remember the answer I chose but they should update it to YES for me and my spouse. I have been so worried about it

Consultancy business will be also hit due to less draw. I think there will pressure/emotion

I think politics will come in play, and it will negatively impact people emotion. Canada is heavily dependent on immigration for population growth and pandemic has opened lot of market to be capture. Immigration will also increase investment. Well, practically do IRCC should care about processing time??? FsW are already outside doing something, CEC has BOWP, students have post education permit. They already covered,

It was “expected” statistically to be 36 months if draws continued. Basically an algorithm said “will take 36 months if keep drawing” rather than IRCC said “let’s spend 36 months”. Huge difference here.

The main argument was to pause draws so that the backlog can be handled and those who do get invited later on can experience closer to reasonable processing times.

Keep in mind that there is typically just one suggested action in a memo (which is to pause draws Nov 2021 - Jan 2022), and everything else is to support that suggestion. Of course we can speculate other things like no draws in H1 2022 or narrower FSW, but always try to see the whole picture first if we want to understand what’s going on.
