I saw a posting in Canada’s site saying of the possibility of requesting transfer when the VO is not capable of processing your file. Which was what I used in my question, since they always claim they are working with limited staff, while Ottawa started processing. This is what they wrote.

Good day,

Mexico and other IRCC offices in the Americas region including Canada are currently working with essential staff only and providing essential urgent services through teleworking. This limits our ability to process permanent residence applications. Please note that we are facing significant delays in processing times due to the disruptions caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic.
I like how they answered like a bot instead of telling them whether they can transfer to a functional VO.

Its 2022 ffs and COVID started in 2020. How hard will it be for them to get their booster shot, mask up and get a honest days work done like every other regular employee in a regular company? Even if they HAVE to telework, you'd think Canada would have secure systems in place for them to process PR applications at home by now. It's not like it's still 2020. This COVID excuse is just getting boring at this point

The year is 2070. 50 years into the pandemic, IRCC have finally cleared the 2019 backlogs and are now fully focused on 2020 AORs. The rain finally starts.

Meanwhile, Uncle Sam calls me to tell that my green card date is finally current.

Oops, you took too long, now priority dates retrogressed 10 years.

What's your AOR? I see you are FSW so you are with Pretoria VO right?
Nah, my 1st and last notes I ordered in Sep 2021 said my primary VO is at CIO and 2ndary is Ottawa. But quiete a few people here have said FSW pretty much only gets processed and finalized in Ottawa... Don't know how true that is though...also not sure at what stage Local VO Pretoria would get involved as it doesn't appear anywhere on my notes.

Edit:
Meds expiring next month
As at Sept 2021,
Criminality and Info sharing: Passed
Security and eligibility: N.Started

I have never said that before, why I said this this time because last year didn't even see a single ppr from local VO.

London VO is on fire I guess. When will Mexico wake up? Yesterday someone got a reply from them for a webform, where they stopped blaming covid for stalling VOs and now specifically said it’s stalling VOs in Latin America. Seriously, Latin American is the region with highest vaxed rate in the world. Everything is open. They are pissing me off. When I requested VO transfer, they made up excuses, but they won’t do their jobs.
So Mexico VO is still sidelining our FSW apps and processing everything else?
Q3 2020 AOR here... one week into 2022 and my hopes for a Q1 landing (or at least remed request to get things going again) are already being crushed o_O

I really hope Ottawa wakes up soon and start sending PPRs.

Sometime ago I emailed to the Ministry and got this response today.

Thank you for your correspondence of December 14, 2021, addressed to the Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, concerning your application for permanent residence. I have been asked to respond to your concerns.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) records confirm that your application is being processed at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa, where officials have recently (December 2021) received information in support of your application. Please be assured that you will be contacted as soon as the application has been completed.

At this time, applicants are encouraged to visit the How the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is affecting immigration, refugees, citizenship and passport services web page for up-to-date information related to their application.

What do you think "where officials have recently (December 2021) received information in support of your application" mean?

Your app only needs a security input and your signature says your security had not been started as of Jul 2021. So maybe your security is being processed and so the officials (officers?) received information (your background) about your app. Maybe?

I thought the same. Hopefully! Few hours ago our medical is expired as well, so hoping to hear something good in near future.
