Its Japan all over again. Everyone and their mother NEEDs to live in Tokyo or Osaka. House prices are SKY high. Home ownership is desired to have kids. By the time a couple buys a home, there are fertility or stress related issues = no kids = not enough people to take the burden of old.
Fortunately for Canada, they can import people... for now that is.

I wonder how many new immigrants who were perfectly settled in their own countries will participate in the Canadian real estate market insanity.

Hopefully he is ok :) Kids are the most important.
I know, this is why I decided that fuck the house or PR, I will have my kid. Rest can be managed.

I will do it if market will look ok :) it is a gamble but once you are renting you are covered.

No idea. Canadian government is gently pushing us towards less populated parts of Canada by having programs like AINP etc.

My own kid has signs of autism (though he is doing okay, we got him checked out). I believe it is due the fact that we had him in our 30s. Autism is fairly common around here.

Really????? Are you sure it was because you were in 30's? Hope your kid is doing okay.

It all depends what you are doing. I mean we cannot blame someone that his job is paying him XXX XXX $ - most peopel are working hard before they will reach that level. Nothing is impossible, you just have to work hard for it and stop saying that I will never be able to have this or this.
Actually post Eastern Bloc people tend to be hard working folks so most of us will get by. We have relatives in Australia they told us that locals are well.. not the most hard working people (politically correct phrasing) so us post Eastern Bloc people can actually accelerate our career if we keep delivering the same standard of work we did at home.

There is no other reason -- if there can be one. None of our families have one single case of Autism. We got genetic testing done. Its clear. Its either a mutation or our age or may be stress.

If people are allowed to work remotely for jobs that can be done remotely, I am sure many will move away to lesser populated areas.

Its good to know that we have emerged ourselves into the Canadian problems without even placing our feet there yet.

Not to mention, most of us not having an ITA also.

Gotta love the new year spirit !
Isn't knowing what you are getting into wise?

Autism is genetic. It may not be inherited, but it is genetic. Age can play a big role in this because as our bodies get old genetic errors happen more often

I don't think that is has to do with age. New studies have found that there might be a link between prenatal maternal stress and autism.
Devil knows! between Canadian immigration, job search and settling here, there could be a lot of stress for a person. Not to mention, pregnancy was one from hell. She was not able to keep one morsel of food or a mouth full of water down for almost 7 months.
