I live in the United Arab Emirates for a while before moving to Canada.
For some time I had status within my mother's passport (as I was a child) and after that, I had my own residence visa. In my last two years, I got a residence visa as a partner in my dad's company but was a student in high school until I left UAE after graduation.
In the Online Application under the question "Do you currently, or have you ever held immigration or citizenship status in a country or territory other than Canada (this includes your country of birth)?"

Should I just add the date that we moved to UAE until I left and set the status as "Foreign National" ?
Would that be okay?

You should definitely add time in the UAE. I’m not sure though about “Foreign National”. What did your ID in the UAE say? Probably “Resident” or “Temporary Resident”.

It just says residence at the top. But there are no Temp Residence options
