This application resubmission fiasco raised some hopes after September 7 update but unfortunately it didn't speed up anything for applicants like us.
I am waiting since Feb 2021.

You are correct! I have been waiting for my spouse visa (SOWP or Visitor Visa, applied both) since January 2021 too. I hope IRCC understand the situation of people like us living far away from spouses and process the applications fast in India. Please let me know if you get any update.

Just wanted to share our experience in getting my mother in law's TRV.

I am a Canadian Citizen. My wife is American and daughter is Canadian.

1st application (GCKEY): August 15, 2021 online from Manila, Philippines
Biometrics Submitted: September 15, 2021 in the US
2nd Application (IRCC Portal): November 27, 2021 online from Manila, Philippines
PPR & BVL: December 14, 2021
VAC: Manila, Philippines
RFT: Reunification Immediate Family

We waited for 4 months through GCkey and took a little over 2 weeks via IRCC portal.

Hi, vo did not request for med of her? I applied my mom too,1st app was june1,2021 through gckey,did her bio last june 9 and 2nd app on portal, nov27, bvl and med req dec10. Apply for Regular visa,visa office philippines.

No an agent replied, they asked me to fill and upload a form which is missing in our newborn application.
That is a good sign .

Is there any guarantee an application on a new portal will be processed quicker? I mean, what's the reason of creating 2 portals for the same purpose?
Do I need to resubmit the application if it was submitted on Nov 25th on GC keys?

No guarantee at all, they just want money as much as they can !!!!
