Just a word of advice for folks entering Canada newly, i saw the below chat from a grp i belong to...pls pass on to new landing immigrants

Hello folks.

A very important message for newly arrived PR. pls if you are instructed or expected to quarantine for 14 days or two weeks, pls ensure you observe and comply fully without breaking any of the covid protocol giving that you are still very new as PR

Members of Nigerian community in ON just narrated an ordeal of a family that just arrived within this period of controversy and were informed to quarantine for 14 days, but they went shopping and unfortunately Health Canada came calling on Sunday, Nov 28 at their expected place of quarantine in Markham Downs, ON but they did not find them in quarantine

Unfortunately their PR was revoked and were immediately deported back to Nigeria . The Nigerian High Commissioner in Ottawa tried to intervene, but it was unsuccessful.

Pls comply fully without any breaking of the laws of the land. This is Canada and not Nigeria
Thanks for sharing.

We also did get a lot a lot of no answers and to book online. Gosh, I am sorry to hear this and don't even really know what to say, because I know how you are feeling. Yes, we have been on this journey together, and I am keeping faith some good news is coming your way soon.
Thank you. It’s very heartwarming for us knowing you’re so close to being reunited! For PPR did you submit at VFS?

Anybody here recently went thru ADR? Can one share the experience please?? Thank you
Can share my experience .
List down all points of objection and put down your response to them.
Also get the sequence of events right and always ask why at every event that are raised as an issue.
Remember when you have precise answers and you keep track of time, its very important to have content based response.
typically its for an hour.
hope this helps.

Ours lasted 20 mins including all the talking about next steps and that we would have to wait for around a year after that because of the covid backlogs. I think it was quick because we sent 300 pages of documents and explanations to prove our common-law status before the hearing. My advice is to collect as much proofs as possible. Proofs can be from 3 different periods of time. Before applying for the visa, after applying and after refusal. Don’t forget that even if you are refused, your relationship is still in progress, and you’re constantly making more proofs by continuing this relationship. You can use recent proofs as well to make the case stronger. I hope I explained it clearly. Sorry, I’m so tired.

When you say sequence of event? U mean if I traveled as an example.

Thank you very much. After the refusal, I travelled to him for 2 months. It was already in our plans but i still went to him.
As proof we have chat logs, call logs, proof of travel, pics, proof of beneficiary documents. No clue what else to add.

Hello,

Hope y'all are doing good.

I had few questions to ask from the experienced here.

So we have been scheduled for hearing in February.. we were wondering if anyone could share their experience of how it went and how long it takes and any specifics we need to be careful about?

Also anyone dealing with Abu Dhabi Canadian Visa office?

Cheers

Does not sound like he's going through appeal. He might be in the wrong forum. Also, I think you should notify IRCC of your wife's pregnancy and also notify them when they child is born as the child will be born outside of Canada.
i did not apply for appeal. i am asking question. i am still waiting for decision made and passport request, but my baby due in january 2022.

What Alexis is saying is this thread is for appeal questions. There are many other threads that discuss sponsorship in general. You might not find ur answer here. Good luck to you
