I applied yesterday via the online portal. I also received an automated message confirming the submission of the application.

I didn't notice this thread earlier, so created a different thread for Dec 2021. no one has replied in that thread yet . I think that thread is not required, is there any way I can delete that thread please let me know.

I have updated the tracker as well.

A quick question, as we all have submitted online application, cant we track the status of our application and receive all other notification within permanent resident portal itself ? do u think we still have to track application through "ECAS Application Status" and also create a "GC key account" ?

Little bit info abt my application.

• I am PR in Canada, I am sponsoring my wife who lives in India. Current Application status - submitted, Application date - 2021/12/10 5:28 AM (UTC).
• Created an account with my wife email ID in PR portal https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login
• Assigned myself as representative in IMM5476 and I helped my wife to complete the application. She just did the last declaration part and submitting part from India for just namesake
• Most of the forms will be like online web form which u can fill and submit in the portal itself. But forms like IMM1344, IMM5532. IMM5476 were not like online web form, they were available in PDF format, which needs to be filled in manually through computer itself and needs to uploaded back in the portal, But the catch here is that, these forms require PA & sponsor signature. So to avoid the confusion, we printed - filled in the forms - got the forms signed by wife and myself - scanned the forms and then uploaded the forms in the portal. I saw a message in one of the threads where @BillionaireIsrael stated that, their application was returned the very next day for updates after submission as the forms (IMM1344 & IMM5532) were not signed, they were marked as incomplete. • I also printed the checklist IMM5533 , as you cannot write N/A on the forms through computer.

When it comes to deleting the thread, I really don't know how to do that. Tried to check if I can delete mine, but doesn't seem so. Maybe contact the administrator of the forum?

As for the forms, we too printed them and signed them, then scanned the signed forms and uploaded them. We also printed the checklist and wrote N/A by hand.

I also filled in the previous travels form (in addition to Schedule A). I don't know if it is necessary, but I filled it in anyways.

My spouse (the sponsor) did not sign up himself as a representative anywhere though.

As for tracking, I think we can track it via the portal. I'm pretty sure that if we need to do anything on GCkey, they will let us know when we get AOR.

Hi @ik_p, thanks for responding. Yes! Even I also submitted the previous travel form (i believe u meant imm5562). This form appears as additional form for country specific requirement. In the checklist under “country specific requirements” point, I have stated that we have submitted this form IMM5562.

Used a lawyer (Campbell Cohen) - applied for spousal sponsorship for my wife (outland) Ghana
- lawyer confirmed that application has been submitted to Nova Scotia Office, Nov 26th 2021 - mailed out.

AOR - not yet ( Any ideas when to expect AOR ? )

Not sure what would be the impact. Based on my knowledge & understanding i think it wont be an issue as it is a small mistake . if they want it, they would reach out to u asking to update them or request for additional doc i guess. like if u see in my past reply in this thread. there was one member who submitted his application without signing few docs. the very next day, they have reached out to him, to update the application with signed docs. this is my guess, but probably experienced members can help u with this doubt, as they would have seen scenarios like these.

Go to the section "What to expect after you apply" it says u need to link your PAPER application to online as communication becomes easy when it is done online. Now that we all have applied through online application only, there is no requirement for that.

This is my understanding, Experts please correct me if i am wrong.
