October 2019 - Citizenship Applicants

Hey guys - I was informed that my application is approved but my oath is blocked as it is a family application and that both the applications (i.e. my spouse) should be approved in order to move ahead for next steps. Irony is that my wife didn't receive citizenship test request yet (Yes we both applied together in 2019 ) - her security check is in-progress now (becoz' the previous one is expired). Thinking of requesting a split in the application - has anyone in this group requested to split their applications - any experiences will be highly appreciated....

I'm waiting since Aug 28,2021. That was the last update on file DM .Oct 2019 applicant . Passed my test in May 2021

Depending on the office and how far you live, you can get it within 2 - 20 days.
As soon as you have the certificate, you can go to a walk in passport centre (which you will have to check) and get your passport within 2-9 business days.

Please keep Chrisrmas and new year holidays in mind and that could have an impact on mails.

Thank you. The letter from IRCC wasn't too clear. I will just have PR card and two IDs ready then. Both my driver's license and health care are expired and am waiting for the new one... I hope that's okay too.

Finally got update on Oath ceremony,
It is scheduled Dec 21. Anyone can advise how long it takes for citizenship certificate to come as I have travel plans for Jan 20. Will that be enough time for getting passport n all?

I was reading the instructions for the ceremony and remembered of you when I read this: “inform the IRCC official if you require your citizenship certificate sooner than 2 to 4 weeks to apply for a passport urgently.”
They might be able to help you get yours quickly.

I just submitted a webform inquiry on my file... we'll see what kind of generic response I get or if an actual human with a heart responds on the other end (or maybe no response at all). Basically, i clinged to the fact that I received an unusual request for additional travel evidence and asked questions about what constitutes as acceptable evidence.... We'll see if and how they reply.

I think you would get a better and quicker response if you emailed back the email that asked for the evidence.

I did try contacting the local office (using the email that asked for the evidence...). No response so far, it's been about 3 weeks i think
