Hello everyone! I got my portal email yesterday! Strangely enough, the portal email came from Montreal!
also weird is that I am the secondary applicant (inland) and I got my portal email already but my common law partner hasn’t got it yet

Primary VO: Edmonton
Secondary VO: Vancouver
so here’s a little timeline:
AOR: March 18, 2021
MEP: April 12, 2021
GU1: some time in June?

GU3: Oct 25, 2021

Hey everyone. Here’s the rough outlook on my timeline so far:

AOR July 3, 2021
MEP/BIL July 30, 2021
Bio Complete August 27, 2021
GU October 15, 2021

I had a call with IRCC agent on November 2, who was nice enough to tell me that my visa office was indeed Edmonton.

VO Edmonton (Secondary VO Vancouver)

Eligibility: In Progress
Criminality: in Progress
Security: Passed.

My assumption was the security is the last stage, but strangely the other stages are still in progress, or at the very least, by the time when I called the agent on November 2 (Tuesday). I wonder what this could mean. No updates so far…

Hope something good comes soon…

Guys I have a question.

I’ve been looking at all the previous posts in this thread and I’m just wondering: just how damn SLOW is Visa office in Edmonton?!

My AOR is July 2021, and so many people who submitted around the same time or later than I did are already getting their portal emails while I’m just stuck waiting. Their offices are not Edmonton for sure.

Considering that many people here in this thread from even January to April still haven’t got their portal email, this is really starting to get absurd and concerning.

I don’t wanna vent out too much but this seems such BS to me, seeing as I have zero control as to which office will handle my file. I know the Edmonton office was newly relocated and I’ve heard rumors that they are very understaffed because of it, but I still think it’s unfair for many of us.

Time is of the essence to us all, and this discrepancy in processing speed by visa office feels like a rigged lottery.

If any of you guys can shed some light into the rough processing time of Edmonton VO, please do. Thank you and good luck to everyone!

Worst visa office... I ordered my gcms notes guess what? The only time something happened was them transferring it to Whitehorse ircc... Then unfortunately Whitehorse transferred it back to Edmonton after having no Adm concerns regarding articles 35 and 37. I know I have to wait again for the next 6 months before anything again...
