Anyone sponsoring parents from India and got PCC request while they are visiting in Canada? Can they apply for PCC at Indian Embassy in Canada, while on tourist visa? Any idea on time it takes to get one ?

Contact BLS. They are eligible. 3-4 weeks tops, depending on your native town/city in India

@Roya-FSW considering it takes 2-3 weeks for Ankara to respond, I have enquired about my mom's application right now. Have you checked with them too?

From my experience it usually takes 1-3 DAYS for Ankara to respond to emails.
The last time I sent an inquiry was about 4 weeks ago. I might try again next week!

Congratulations! Lucy you, your case was processed faster than others. Many of us are waiting after the medical since May. So hoping that everyone's wait is over soon By the way, was there something different about your case or its just a matter of timing for every other case!

After landing, how can we apply for parents Health card right away instead of waiting for proof of residency? .. any good ideas from expert members?

for Proof of Address - can we use lease agreement or any other proof (instead of waiting for 1 month for bank statement)

Hello everyone, Quick question.
We received a letter from CIC asking for ORIGINAL police clearance certificate. My parents had that done Dec 2020 and we sent that scanned copy on email.

My question is -
Do we have to send the same PCC or they need to do it again? They have not left country in last 2 years.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

From my experience it usually takes 1-3 DAYS for Ankara to respond to emails.
The last time I sent an inquiry was about 4 weeks ago. I might try again next week!

They were superfast to respond compared to the past, this is their response. Interesting how long it takes to complete this review:
"Please be advised that this file has been preliminarily assessed and is currently in the queue for the secondary review."
