@legalfalcon My FSW-O application is under process since Dec-2019. All the stages have passed and final status is approved as per the GCMS. I was thinking of applying for tourist visa for Canada to meet my sister who is currently a student in Canada. I was hoping that being in Canada would expedite the processing of my application. Do you think it would be wise to proceed with this idea or am I missing something.

Thanks in advance.
I have a Dec 2019 AOR, I have been in Canada since the first day of my application.

I hope it answers your question.

@legalfalcon Just got my remeds done. Do I need to upload the e-medical Information sheet i received through a webform or just wait for the clinic to send IRCC all the paperwork?
You will have to send the upfront sheet via webform.

He said his AOR is Dec 2019. you are Dec2020 and I am Nov2020. If you read in other thread anyone more recent SINP pls let me know and i will do so also. If December 2019 is the latest SINP to get PPR that could mean we are still a year away.... :(
I don't know how to share a picture here. But for your information a person some one week ago get his PPR. He shared his timeline on FB page Dream Abroad. His timeline is :
PNP-SINP ITA OCT 2020.
SINP Nomination Nov 2020
AOR December 2020
Biometric Feb 2021
Medical Passed - January 2021 (Principal Applicant)
Medical Passed - August 2021 (Dependent- son)
Re-medical passed 30 Sept 2021.
PPR October 12 2021.

Every file is different and his timeline is very similar to me but I didn't get anything till now. Today I marked 300 days to submit my file. Left two months to expire my medical (19th December).

I'm gonna reach the 700-day milestone and still not get my security cleared, dude. IRCC process is totally stochastic so just be patient and wait!!

Dear Legal Falcon and members of the community,

My family and I who are DEC 2019 AOR, received re-medicals request on the 13th of October. We are Indians residing in the UAE. My GCMS notes from July 2020 showed Eligibility as passed and this re-medicals request is the first positive sign since then.

We booked an appointment for next week and hopefully if all goes well, we expect our PPR in November and our COPR’s soon after that.

After waiting for 2 years, this has suddenly come and we are not sure how to deal with this situation. My children are in school and my daughter is in her last year and so next year she will need to start University in Canada. She will need to apply by February or May for the September intake and we are unable to decide whether to do our landing in December during this winter break or if there is some option with the university whereby we can land after their academic year ends in 1st week of July 2022 and still apply earlier as a PR if we have a COPR in hand.

My dilemma is that without landing I guess we cannot apply as a PR and she will have to apply as an international student but then next year we will land for sure. What do you advise please? If we have to do a forceful landing in December which is the only time I can see because of the break available, then we have to sacrifice our goods to follow list and wrap up a lot of things quickly which makes it very difficult. My main concern is how to deal with the University application if we don’t land before the application deadline and second is that if we do land in December on a 2 week break and return to the UAE, does it mean that the only thing we are at a disadvantage will be that the goods we plan to bring to Canada by cargo at a later stage, we will need to pay 5% customs duty on it? Is there anything else to be concerned about?

The other thing is that it is allowed now to land in Canada, wait for our PR cards (I guess it takes about 2 weeks) and return to current country of residence for 6 months and then return back after 6-7 months when the academic year ends?

Also, since we will get our PR cards, my daughter can apply to a University in Canada as a PR rather than an International student?

Appreciate all the advice I can get, thank you in advance and hoping and praying for all of you to get some good news sooner than later.

Thanks and Kind Regards,

Hi are you a PNP or FSW? I feel the best is to go to canada soon and land. Regarding your daughters scenario you will have to consult somebody on the best advice
