Mannnnn, I can't believe we are reaching a point where people are talking about how to show themselves less skilled in order to stand a chance to be selected by an immigration pathway officially known as the "Skilled" worker program...God knows how far this messy situation gonna go o_O
The whole system was not prepared for this to happen. Ontario could just raise the cup for the CRS points, however they are not doing that which is pretty sad :(

You know man the funny (can not think of any better word to describe this) thing is that I was so stressed out about losing points on Listening and Writing of my IELTS..And now it seems I could have been at least luckier with Ontario if that has happened...

I guess we all should slowly be more concerned about being "overqualified" rather than "unqualified" for this whole express entry

I commend IRCC for giving a chance* to applicants with less skills.
Bilingual applicants with a PhD will have no problem finding a job in the U.S. anyway.

* and processing faster, apparently.

Morning Everyone,
Aor: feb 2020
Fsw outland
Added spouse 2nd Sept

I recently informed IRCC of my new spouse. My profile has NOT been changed.

Does anybody know if a portal profile should have a spouses details, including documents? Or does nothing change after adding a spouse to an application?
lol “new spouse” do we have “old spouse”? However, congratulations on getting married. If you’ve done the needful by raising a webform and attaching all relevant documents to prove blah blah blah, then don’t worry, chill it will be updated. Soon you will see her as a dependent on your profile but only after she has given biometric. After informing them you also need to pay them.

Immigration is never about "chance"; but "need". No country will and should give any foreign nationals a "chance" because a government's sole purpose of existence is to maximize the interest of its people. It is true that Canada has more need for unskilled workers right now than skilled workers. And in general, with or without pandemic, Canada never needed that many skilled workers. You can verify that by looking at the situation in the skilled job market on LinkedIn and Indeed, and compare what you see to a mid-sized EU country like Netherlands. You'll understand better that way.

I'm writing this as a person who's about to quit a fantastic career only to either accept a worse career in Canada or be flat out jobless. But it's what it is. I value peace over a great career.

Kurwa, @dankboi I can see I ahve missed quiet a lot in this forum through the last few days ahhaha :D

My question is, if we will reduce the work experience, would that affect us? I mean for example if we will reduce work experience for my gf to reduce the points will that show as incorrect or as misrepresentation? What I mean, work experience in the same NOC.

I would have to score the following to lower the score to 466:

6 Speaking
5.5 Listening
6 Reading
6 Writing

The other option is to take out my education from the profile which will make our score 466. The question is if it is legal to do it at this stage?
i think it'll be misrepresentation when they find something fishy for something that we claimed CRS.
i have 5-6 years of exp and i am only claiming points for 3, i can also claim for 2 years and it's not misrepresentation.

regarding language scores, it's a tactical approach to take a test to get the desired score to maintain a particular CRS level. again we aren't misrepresenting. we are only simply improvising according to immigration politics of Canada. if they can do what benefits them , then we can do whatever benefits us as long as it don't fall into misrepresentation

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF CANADA asked for it and thus applicants are forced to do it. Applicants are now being considered as garbage that asylums and refugees has more significance to Canada.

quoting Mr. @Glaber here

"An ordinary day at the Canadian border after September 7";

Border Officer: Alright, what we have here? Lets see... a student visa holder who's secretly planing to immigrate to Canada, but had to lie during the entire visa process about his intention by saying he'll return to his home country at the end of his studies.
Student Visa Holder: But.. but... I will return officer I swear to the god plesase let me in.
Border Officer: Come on.. we know that you're using the cheapest language schools in our country as a bridging permit just to enter to Canada, but do we care? We absolutely don't mate. Welcome to Canada! Next !..

Border Officer: Ouuh tourist visa. What is your purpose of visit sir?
Tourist Visa Holder: I'm gonna gamble like crazy at various Casinos and party in crowded groups until I get totally wasted by unlimited vodka!
Border Officer: Sounds like lots of fun sir. Your visit to Canada is crucial for our country, welcome. Next !..

Refugee: نص بسيطنص بسيط نص بسيط
Border Officer: yeah.. yeah.. refugee isn't it? Here mate your free work permit, temporary housing, assistance money and rest of your juicy refugee packet. Welcome, next !

FSW-O Applicant: Greetings sir, I hope you're having a good day.
Border Officer: Yeah it is going good so far, lets see your visa. It is odd you speak proper English. We don't usually get this kind of people into our country. *sees FSW visa and immediately draws his gun*
Border Officer: Hands up you COVID-19 carrying piece of sh/t! How did you manage to board on a plane? Did you hijack it? Of course you did? We no longer take qualified and deserving people into our country after all.
FSW-O Applicant: but.. but officer.. I got my vaccine like everyone else...
Border Officer: Shut your mouth skilled immigrant! JACK!!! Turn on the crematorium, we have a FSW-O applicant here! *siren sounds*

Kojji we reached this point many months ago.
I moved on with plan B two months ago, left the job and knowing i won't get an ITA late this year or next year because of too many applicants on 480+, i started the study route and i wasn't bothered by my loss of score the past month and reached 464 from 470, i still can push it to 470 yet i don't think the next several ITA's won't reach 470 in a while.
Three days ago i received OINP NOI since my score went down. I never wanted a pnp nor i researched about it but here i'm. hehe

At least you got that man :) I am really happy for you. I will not change anything regarding the education part on my side. I can only change the language score results but still I think it will be risky considering that the validity of the last test is long. They might ask questions why did you go with less scores for your IELTS if you had an IELTS that would give you more :) ?

What you need to do is stop for a bit and think rationally instead of just assuming that lowering score in any way is misrepresentation. If all of your 3 years of work experience is with one organization, then you definitely cannot claim points for less than 3 years of work experience. If you have exactly 2 years with one organization and 1 year with another, then you can simply remove the 1 year of work experience and get points for 2 years of work experience. Just need to apply a little bit of common sense.

I agree with this however no one yet knows if at some point they will turn around and they will start refusing the applications based on misrepresentations on a certain factors. No one knows this, I mean for now we are saying that there should not be any harm by lowering the score on IELTS - no one knows how they will react to it, specially if the previous IELTS is valid for a long time. As of now this system has shown that they were not ready for such a situation. I mean There are tons of people with certain NOCs above that score range that are sitting in the darkness :(

I am still waiting for FSW and I am still positive that draws will happen soon. Lets see, what the future will bring.

If FSW resumes, how many draws would it take for it to come down to CRS 475?
No one knows, know one will be able to give you an accurate answer to this. It all comes down to how big the draws will be. Will they be doing 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000 ITAs per draw? How often will they be doing these draws. Will that be every week, two weeks, once a month? No one can give you this answer. Everything is sooo unpredictable, it is pure guessing game.

Personally I think it will be few draws to come down to thar score, maybe around 4-6 draws. maybe it will be quicker.
