Hey guys. I was on the same boat. I arrived at the airport on September 7th, and didn't receive my study permit there. I contacted IRCC by their web form but haven't got any response yet so far. The good news is that I as well as two students I know on the same flight just received our study permit by mail. So if you didn't get the paper permit at the port of entry but was asked to leave your home address, don't worry, just wait, wait, and wait... :)

Hello everyone. Probably I didn’t say it clearly in my last post but yeah I received it recently, about 3 weeks after my arrival (on Sept 7th). Two other students I know in the exactly same situation have also received their study permits about the same time. Maybe the followings can help you a little bit if you're in the same situation and haven't received your study permit yet:

1. Log in to your IRCC account and check your application for study permit; you should see a valid study permit record with its document number and expiration date under the column “Document Status”. This verifies that you are currently a holder for a valid study permit as they successfully updated your status after you entered Canada as a student.

2. Recall and make sure you provided the correct living address at the port of entry when you arrived at the airport for them to mail your study permit. If your study permit status was updated on IRCC website and your address was correct, you should get your study permit after 2-6 weeks I suppose. Check your mailbox to see if there is a pick up notice for it since the document needs your signature in person.

3. Contact IRCC via their webform. You’ll need to wait one or two (or even more) weeks for their response due to their inefficiency. Just try to clearly state your situation and your urgency in the web form. This is the last way I can think up that may solve the issue. No help will be given if you call the airport, and you'll always be waiting if you call IRCC, according to my experience. I heard about that some people successfully got their study permit when they revisited the port of entry in person but some got declined. I'm not sure about this but you can try somehow.

Hi everyone, I have landed on the sep 7th in Canada I didn't get my Study permit till now. Most of the members who travelled with me got it, what should I do in this case.... If the address is wrong, sent to some other address?, if the study permit is lost somehow, I enquired with Canada Post and they need a tracking number to track the post which I didn't get any mail or phone call from the IRCC, I went to the airport but they said to wait until it gets mailed and its been a month since. If anyone staying in London, ontatrio got their study permit who travelled on sep 7th? (friends) Thanks in advance any leads will be helpful.

Hi, I landed on the 8th as well and Didn't receive my permit since it will be a month in 2 days I'm worried. I'm outside Toronto.i called IRCC 2 03 times they say it's been mailed. But Canada post cannot do anything without tracking. Are you guys in Toronto? Which date did you'll receive it?
