Yes applied for Burnaby, British Columbia.
I am not that active on facebook. So lets see if anything comes up this week.
We cannot know the exact processing, but during the lockdown, visa medicals and bimoetric enrollment were suspended for few months. Due to this, students who applied for September intake were in waiting. Work permit applications submitted after July might have experienced delays as ircc was processing student permits on priority to make sure students for September intake dont suffer. However, now it is assumed that work permit applications will be processed faster
Though not 100 % sure, upfront medical might make your application GSS eligible. GSS applications are usually processed faster.
Seems like upfront might save few weeks for sure.

Sounds like good news. Is there a link where these kind of things are updated or its your analysis
GSS clock starts after biometric and it will on for 2 weeks the moment it reaches 2 weeks and requirements are not met its put along with Non GSS schedule and hence upfront for GSS necessary ,
Its a different story now due to covid we are seeing GSS applications to ppr timeline is 4 weeks though ...
Thanks. My application was submitted on July 16 & Non-upfront medical on Aug 19, biometric is valid from a previous visa & application status is eligibility review yet to be started.
Not exact link, but while going through similar forums, I suppose it might be the case. But we never know how they are exactly processing the applications.

Upfront medical : medical passed on 21 September.
some people say passing the medicals will most likely result in approval .. is that true? ..also what stage is passing the medicals? Please let me know if they have stages ?
also do they usually refuse without a medical Update or their are instances where application is refused after passing medicals ..
