Visitor visa processing timelines/approvals 2020-2021 for immediate family of PR/Temporary Resident

Hello everyone,

Sharing my experience. Applied TRV for my son from Singapore on 27th May. Just got the GCMS notes, looks like an officer opened the file on 30th May and there is no action after that. Even the eligibility checks haven't been started. I have re-applied again on 20th Sep, hope IRCC starts to actively look into applications again.

Did you reapply again through gckey or ircc portal?

Hello ,
Did anyone faced a issue where they did not get webform response even after 14 days. I raised my webform on 3rd sept. No response yet !

Hi all, I have an update on my son's TRV.

Application Date: 24 June 2021
Biometrics Completion date: Exempt
Country of residence: UAE
PA: Child of PR (8 month old)
Purpose of visit(Essential or non-essential): To unite with immediate family member ( father)
Medical Request : 21 Sept 2021 (looks like this is getting converted to TRP since his sponsorship is under process)
VO - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Raised webform to prioritize application on 14th July 2021. Received a response with confirmation on 6 August 2021. I did NOT re-apply after Sept 7th 2021.

Hi Everyone,

I applied for my dad to renew his TRV in the middle of July and I mentioned the "COVID-19" keyword in the form as purpose of travel. I also contacted them through the webform on August 6th and explained that his application can be prioritized under family re-unification as I am PR. I also contacted the visa office (Ankara) a few days after submitting webform.

I did not receive a reply for any of my attempts to contact them. The average processing time for my country is 578 days which is insane. It was around 690 days a few weeks back.

I was wondering if you guys have any recommendation for me. Should I reapply again?


A few days back I was walking in my neighbourhood. Someone walked out of his house with a few teenage kids with him that seemed like his assistants helping him for the election. He was trying to get me to vote for him in the election. I told him that I can't as I am not a citizen and he said that he is the IRCC minister! I smiled and wished him good luck but did not believe him for a second. I was just checking yesterday whether he won the election or not. It turned out that he did and he is actually THE MINISTER OF IMMIGRATION.

Hi All, my parents(Indian passport) applied for visitor visa in July 2021 from US They are in US on visitor visa B1/B2 now and also gave biometrics in US.
Also submitted web form for priority processing request on Sep 23rd 2021 to NY and LA offices. Today my father received an email - standard response from Delhi office. When looked at the thread NY office forwarded the request to Delhi office saying “it might be their case”.
We mentioned current country of residence as India (since they are just traveling) and gave US mailing address in Canada visit visa application. Is this correct?
How would I know which visa office is processing their application? India or US. ?

Sorry I have a question, how do you raise webform for a particular office like you have mentioned NY and LA offices?

I mean do we expect PPR from US office or India office. They can only stay 5 more months in US. After that they need to go back to India.
