Interesting. Explains why MM does not reckon with us as much. They are very comfortable with students buying their PR with their tuition. We will see what the future holds with this policy if it ever see the light of day. At this point, I think I need to properly consider my plan B and se things in motion.

The education to PR industry is exploitative and terrible policy. I really don't get it. I am all for temporary workers getting pathways to PR though
Maybe TR to PR pathway will be integrated into express entry with extra points. IMO creating an inland category will be the simplest solution so that all categories can be invited including FST.

They love some dollars from the students, hehehe. You don't see how they go on and on about how much the students contribute to the Canadian economy? This is why they'll never rub shoulders with the UK, Germany and the others. Terrible decisions.

Even if they did FSW draws now until the end of the year, they will launch this new system next year and forget about these new applications already submitted. Many applications from October 2019 onwards are still pending so thats almost 2 years. Last time they cancelled applications that were pending for 4 years so maybe we have to wait 2 more years for cancellations? :D

If they do like what they did in Feb again like inviting cec with 75 score then we are messed up all the ones with AORs and the ones waiting for ITA .
Because if they do that again it means they don't give monkeys about FSW.

I don't think they will cancel the applications though because if they want to cancel why are they extending medicals and asking people to redo it?

This is happening for few applicants only and even after doing remeds, they are not getting any updates. IRCC is still in the process of "contacting" post March 2020 expired COPR holders, what a mess.

It's not like Canadian work experience and Canadian education don't give more CRS points already.... they talked about more pathways for those inland, inside EE system. It doesn't mean FSW will be canceled or whatever. They could always give more points for those who go study there (even more than now), or do more draws aiming for CEC-only candidates, or both.

At this point, impossible is nothing :D

Won't be shocked if there's no concrete plans to handle these backlogs.

Now sure why people are rooting for conservatives. I personally think right wing parties are always a threat to politics of inclusion. Principally being an aspiring immigrant myself I'd want liberals to win because they're pro human rights (at least more then the conservatives). The stance on covid - of left wing parties - is similar everywhere I guess. Safety comes first. Although I can understand why it's an inconvenience for us but thats not reason enough for me to hope for a Conservative government.
The right wing party of Canada is close to center unlike other countries where right wing is extremely right wing. Basically, all the parties in Canada are near center to extreme left except bloc quebecois who are French nationalists.

The cancellation idea is far, far-fetched; it's nothing but a banter. But then, if they keep inviting CECs because their applications are easier to process, what does the future hold for the backlogs they've created due to their operational attitude towards we outlanders?

Absurd. The rare days when being a PNP applicant puts a smile on one's face. At least, there's no valid argument to do anyhow because the last time I checked, provinces were inviting based on what they need. Mehn, all these permutations every freaking day. It's tiring man.

Exactly and the VO's follow last come first serve basis because new applications have most up-to-date documents and issuing PPR to them is easier than asking for remeds, new PCC's etc. to old applicants, pending CEC applications from early 2020 is the proof of this.
