Hello guys,

I am Permanent Residence and about to sponsor my fiance after getting married in December.

The thing is, I'm in India and will be here until December. I am currently on the vacation of two months, as I am staying beyond the vacation due to personal reason, I might loose the job once I get back in Canada. So my question is, will I be financially eligible to sponsor right-after I get back to Canada considering I will be unemployed and won't have paycheck for six months?

There is no financial requirement to sponsor your spouse; you are not required to be employed.

That being said, you must have a plan and an ability to cover your family's expenses. Without an employer's letter (on the checklist) you'll need to demonstrate your plan to IRCC as part of a sponsorship.

Can you show savings and a plan to get back to work. You will need to return to Canada before you can sponsor your spouse.

They need your bank statement and tax returns , so these documents will show your eligibility, don’t worry

Thank for the reply,
What if I show balance equivalent to the minimum two family income requirement? Let's say, I start full time/part time job, is it advisable to apply after that as beginning three months would be the probation period? Or 30000 bank balance let alone will be sufficient?
