For mail-in applications - NO (but I think if you call them, they might tell you something). For In-Person applications, pickup date is mentioned on the pickup slip if you submitted it at a passport office and chose a pickup service.
I submitted my application in-person. I was told to expect the passport in a few weeks. I assumed that the receipt would have some sort of tracking number, but when I got home and noticed, there is no tracking number on it. I wonder which phone number is it and when should I call them? I think I have seen people talking about phone number, but I can't find that thread now.

Besides, when they mail the passport out, how do people get the Canada post tracking information? How do they even know that it has been mailed out?

There should be some sort of information sheet online by Passport Canada or they should give it out when people apply for the passport. That would help greatly.

I was talking about "pickup service" when applying in-person at a passport office.

I think its the same number for Passport Canada => 1800-567-6868 . I guess you can call this number and request tracking informaton?

Hi Raj,

When you requested callback on the eservices website for appointment. How many days did they take to actually call you? It says two business days on the website. I sent in the request on Monday. I am assuming I should get a call today or tomorrow?

I got the call the very next day. Not sure why its taking longer for you. You could, however ,get a call today or maybe tomorrow.

Ah, I wonder what were the timelines for the others on the thread. I am not going to take a chance with walk-in in Kitchener or St Catherines or anywhere. I doubt they will entertain them anyway

Got my CC charged today after writing a very STRONGLY WORDED Complaint the other day.

It was day 27 when I complained.

Encourage anyone past the 20 business day period to complain as well- seems to be the only way to get them to MOVE.

Hi Raj, just got passport appointment for the 17th - if I choose to pay for express pickup, do I have to show proof of anything? I am actually traveling on Sept 24th but its domestic so not sure it qualifies as proof?

For me, the Kitchener passport office did NOT ask for proof of travel for Express service (though I did have proof of travel).

Express is one step above from normal. I suppose they ask only for the next tier which is 'urgent'

For those who applied in-person and chose express pickup (not the urgent), what are the timelines you have experienced? the website says 2-9 business days - wondering if it is closer to 9 days or 2 days

I got it in 2 business days (4 days in total), there was a weekend in-between!

Passport application was delivered by Canada post on July 19. Absolutely nothing since then; not even a CC charge. Today marks 33 business days since the application was delivered. I have just submitted a complaint so we'll see what happens. Expected date of travel is end of October so I am feeling anxious.
