It is the same as me. Recommended pass by a Case Processing agent, the officer is yet to look into it. You can think of the process as in three stages.
Step 1 - First the aggregated information is looked at in a Case processing center by an agent, who will weed out obvious cases of misrepresentation, errors etc in your medical history, criminality (based on PCC), eligibility (education, work, other info). If your file looks okay, you are recommended pass.
Step 2 - Then the file is transferred to a visa office and an IRCC officer who will go through the information again and give a conclusive pass for eligibility.
Step 3 - Meanwhile, security check starts where based on how complex your addresses and travel history is, background checking could take time.

Most of us are done with step 1. Our files are languishing in a visa office somewhere at some IRCC officers mercy. They are prioritizing CEC and now apparently even Afghan refugees instead of our files. But I assume step 2 should be quick when it happens. God knows how much time step 3 will take. I hope they have started background checks in the meanwhile.

The sad part is how much we have to assume and figure out stuff for ourselves when they can make it much clearer on where things stand in the dashboard or through email. The government is solely to blame for it as a department in a supposed developed country cannot remain this clueless for so long.

The ban makes no sense when they opened up their borders with the US. If they were serious about the ban they would have closed the borders with US who has the most of amount of cases and deaths per day of any country.

Votes won't allow a US ban. Nobody will notice Morocco. Nothing in Canada now has anything to do with reason, reality and science. It's all politics at this point. JT is out of his mind and only cares about the election. To be honest I moved my expectations to after Sept 20; Sept 7 won't do anything.

These flight bans seem more like they don’t trust the covid tests from those countries. And also, it’s kinda impossible to ban the US during an election, most Canadians have family in the US.

Maybe this is why they are currently paused for outlanders until travel restrictions are lifted. If they had commenced security clearance in the past few months, several of those would have expired and they have to start the whole process again

My security was completed in July. Can I expect a ppr within the next 3 months?

Did u read the latest news by the immigration minister? He said he will reward all the ITA waiters for being patient by giving direct citizenship soon as the borders open.
