Hello Guys Here's my application. Express Entry, CEC
ITA > OCT 15, 2020
AOR > Dec 12, 2020
Medical Passed > Jan 19, 2021
Biometrics > Completed, July 21
Eligibility > in progress
Background Check > in progress
Visa Office > Etobicoke

It has been over 8 months but I havent got any updates on my application. I called IRCC couple times but they dont know what happen to my application, just saying they are checking my background...I also submitted a web form in July, they replied that saying there are backlogs due to COVID. But at least 8 people I know who submitted their applications later than me have already got their PR. Anyone on the same boat?

Forget about your online account. This is garbage and doesn’t show anything. You need to order notes to see if A11.2 was completed.

I just received my notes, and I must admit that I’m a bit worried.

Primary office: Montreal
Secondary office: Etobicoke

Eligibility: Not Started
Security: Not Started
Criminality: In Progress
Medical: Passes
Info sharing: In Progress (do you know what does it mean?)

There is a line saying « RCPM screening: Fingerprints required »

What does it mean, do I have to send something, if yes what kind of document?

Someone finally opened my file!!! And as expected they requested my criminal record check… I have 30 days to provide it and of course RCMP says it’s a 5weeks timeline (minimum) to get it.
So thank you amairana95 for the advise back in July, it’s already 5weeks since a did it and no news about it as well…

Hopefully it will not take to long to receive it, and I guess I’ll have to wait another couple of months to hear about IRCC again.

I don’t understand why they don’t ask for that kind of thing before you apply… what a waste of time for everybody!

As part of my GCMS notes below was mentioned under Case Analyst recommendation:
"Recommendation Pass OFFICER:APPEARS CLIENT MEETS REQUIREMENTS: DEPENDENT CHILD OUTSIDE OF CANADA.A11.2:APPEARS MET R87.1:CEC MINIMU REQUIREMENTS -APPEARS MET RPRF:COMPLETE"
This update i received on 21-jun-2021.

thaaatt sucks but im so happy you did it back in july -- it should be enough to get it in that 30 day deadline. worry not! you'll get your pr once you submit that!
and they dont ask it because not everyone needs it (my spouse did not get the request) -- its only if their basic search comes back with a result, they will need to ensure *you* are *not* the criminal they found.

Hey, Just wanna confirm that when did you apply RCMP. My case is also similar as you. I applied RCMP on 20 July. Please keep me updated when you receive RCMP and copr.

yes but due to the elections MPs will not be completing requests, and due to the situation in Afghanistan IRCC is not answering questions

I did it on the 16 of july.

I am in similar situation. I received AOR on 30th December and the online account shows that they are still checking eligibility requirements and doing background checks. however, ircc website suggests that they are already processing January 2021 applications. I applied for notes based on suggestions on this forum. I did not even know that this is possible.
