It may surprise me however I was talking with few of my Irish friends that moved from Ireland to Canada and all of them agreed that cost of living is less than in Ireland. A lot more money is staying in your pocket. I ahve done a lot research on that and at least comparing to Ireland it is better. However the main reason for me to move there is not mine financial situation. I have a really high wage in Ireland. My gf is working as a Registered Nurse and she has a descent wage is well. We cannot complain on anything apart of few things that we do not like about this part of the world. I also understand that a lot of people are in a lot more difficult situation. However this is what we want to do :) despite some difficulties. There is no perfect place in this world.
Ireland is also a disaster right now. It isn't a "typical" EU country with their housing crisis.

Now if those irish friends are the ones I kept seeing up in Vancouver throughtout the summer... they never stay sober dude so be advised...

Best crazies I've ever had a bar chat with though, gotta give them that.

I was lucky enough. Recently friend of mine was viewing exactly same house as mine one on the same estate. I have bought mine 2 years ago for 170k. The house he was looking at went for 220k :O so as of now even if I would sell it I would get 50k more :O

No :) they actually have families. Most of them live in Toronto area, not in Toronto but close enough. Some live in Calgary or near Calgary. I know that young Irish people like to drink a lot :D I cannot remember when I was drunk last time :) I am not type of a person that drinks a lot, I can take a beer or two from time to time but that's it.

yes that's right Canada is way more cheaper when compared to the UK/Ireland. I can get a double storey apartment for rent in Toronto with the same amount that I'm paying now and still be left with some 500GBP. Goodness i didn't buy a house on my own, I came across FSW on january, but was planning for over an year to get one home and changed the plans soon as i heard of this PR pathway.

Looks like most of the western countries are getting expensive.
I have lived in Texas. It was heaven. You get paid better than canada and no state tax. Everything is affordable. Much cheaper than Canada for sure.

I remember talking and drinking what we could find in central london
Burnin' all those candles and stayin' up through the night
We'd make visists for the pubs we know we'd never try
But then oh, we found Express Entry

I remember feeling broke as a bottle of wine
I didn't move to the city to count all my pennies and worship the 'mind the gap' sign
IRCC'd say, "Hey man, nice to have you in pool"
And IRCC'll take every one last time

And I know, cause I found some fake immigration policies

Hey guys, a long time lurker here. Given how disappointing ircc has been for a while now... I don't intend to be pessimistic, but what's your plan B, if FSW goes south?
Will wait for sponsorship from my mother, but that is also taking forever.

UK was much expensive for more than 4 decades. But there's tremendous chances here. And quite easy when it comes to recruitment and the overall career progressing. I'm planning to move cause I'm tired of this busy life in the city. and probably will return after 5-7 years and should move away from london to some inner england countryside.

Depends where in EU but my friends who moved to Germany some years ago now own houses and cars working regular (skilled) jobs. I'd like to see you try owning a house in any Canadian city in a few years where there are jobs you can find.
Join me in the neighbourhood of beautiful community of newfound in a few years where i will have a drake like mansion!

This is what I am talking about :) People should not get surprised when we say that but the current situation in UK or Ireland is a joke :)
