I took a look on a connection info to the server and guess what. These twats are still using TLS 1.0 on their Exchange servers hahahahah I wonder why it does not work on mobile ahhahaha

I wouldn't be all that surprised. The ONLY reason I'm even considering Canada despite its joke of a job market, ridiculous housing prices, poor and slow banking, IT, and health services, shitty climate, and distance to the rest of the world is that Canada is the only country that offers an outland route to immigration. If FSW is gone, I'll actually be relieved because I will have easier time making up my mind and moving to EU.

Depends where in EU but my friends who moved to Germany some years ago now own houses and cars working regular (skilled) jobs. I'd like to see you try owning a house in any Canadian city in a few years where there are jobs you can find.

Depends where in EU but my friends who moved to Germany some years ago now own houses and cars working regular (skilled) jobs. I'd like to see you try owning a house in any Canadian city in a few years where there are jobs you can find.

It is doable if you have a good job and two people are working I think it is even easier than in EU

That only applies if the house in question is a one bedroom basement lol. Go look up prices of decent houses in Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa etc. You'll be looking at mortgages of 25 years. It took my friends about 5 years to finish their debts for a decent house and a decent car. That's not doable in Canada.

Obviosuly most mortgages are for a longer time. Vancouver is crazy expensive I agree on this. For example cost of cars in Canada is about 40% cheaper than in EU My mortgage for the current house is set for 25 years anyway A lot of my friends are living normal lives in Canada. They have mortgages for 500/600k while living in Calgary for example. I am not saying it is easy.

Literally a top 1% salary in Canada (~260k) does not qualify for a mortgage on the typical detached house in the whole GTA area ($1.3 million). Because of mortgage stress test rules. 99% of people who are buying houses in the GTA are previous home owners or have family money.

I will give a small example. The house in which I am living currently in Ireland costed me 170k EUR. From which I needed to have 10% deposit, lawyer fees etc. I was not able to get more because I was a single applicant. With my gf we got a new car here. This car on the paper cost 40 000EUR, same car, same make and a lot better spec in Canada is 36 000$. Lease for that car in Ireland is 510EUR a month and in Canada same car is 390$ However my house is located outside the bigger cities. Taxes are high as shit. If you earn above 35 000EUR you are paying 40% on everything above. Anything below is 23% Road tax is crazy expensive is well. Energy prices went up and my last bill for 16kwh was 300EUR :O for two months.

Exactly the root of the problem. There are really no jobs in Canada except a few places and housing in those few places is ridiculously expensive. What I kept seeing in Vancouver was people buy houses for CAD1-3 million and rent every single room to strangers for 25 years. Lol why did you buy the house in the first place? Ridiculous living.

Also I don't know why you're moving to Canada guelphite. My actual dream is to own a big land of my own on top of which is a big ass (possibly country style) house somewhere in Texas lmao. I wouldn't care what all the softies in Canada had to pay for 0.5 bedroom basements with shared bathroom.

Eh, not much left to say other than keep your spirit up my good dude, for Canada may indeed surprise you.

It may surprise me however I was talking with few of my Irish friends that moved from Ireland to Canada and all of them agreed that cost of living is less than in Ireland. A lot more money is staying in your pocket. I ahve done a lot research on that and at least comparing to Ireland it is better. However the main reason for me to move there is not mine financial situation. I have a really high wage in Ireland. My gf is working as a Registered Nurse and she has a descent wage is well. We cannot complain on anything apart of few things that we do not like about this part of the world. I also understand that a lot of people are in a lot more difficult situation. However this is what we want to do despite some difficulties. There is no perfect place in this world.
