Canceling EOIs for study visa

Hello All,

Is it mandatory to cancel all my EOIs and deactivate my EE profile as I am applying my student visa in the next week?

Though I have cancelled my SINP, Quebec Arrima, PEI and Express Entry profile.

I have removed and withdrawn all today. I guess my agent will be filing the student visa so there would be no requirement of revoking GC key. Thanks

Even if you delete these, your digital footprint will still be there.

You are assuming that having a profile is grounds for refusal, many say that it makes a profile weak, but there is no evidence to suggest that. Better attach a LoE if having a profile makes you nervous

Why did you cancel all that? Do you not need them anymore? There's nothing wrong with having your EE, SINP etc profiles still active as they are not applications per se, just expressions of interest.

I didn't cancel any of my profiles (EE, SINP) when applying for my SP and it did not affect me at all, but I've read some people were denied SP due to active EE profiles (not sure how true this is as rejection on this basis directly contradicts IRCC's own policy of dual intent).

To circumvent this, all you had to do was open a new profile for your study permit.

Yeah you are right, but just wanted to be on a safer side.
