Yeah to be honest I have so many questions on what really happens after 7th September especially since almost everyone has talked about border restrictions being the issue.

Does an all program draw happen the next day - 8th September, Wednesday?
Do PPRs start raining left, right and center?
Does everyone start getting medical requests / extensions?
Do all the IRCC staff return to office as before?

Or simply - border restrictions just end and we all start thinking about another date when 'something will actually happen'.

All in all my basic question is - Once border restrictions are lifted, do things come back to normalcy for FSW almost immediately or it takes many months?

I guess only time will tell the answers to all this
It may take months I guess although I hate to accept it.

Right questions but no answers. We are all waiting.

I will be happy if they announce when they are gonna start processing outland applications like how they are providing dates for CEC applications.
Wow is that so then boss one thing is for sure they would resume FSW
They will resume outland processing and draws; we just don’t know when and that’s the sickening thing about the whole situation

If they continue to prioritize CEC processing only, soon there’ll be something like “we are processing cases received in February”.

Before the pandemic the processing standard is like 6 months. Next week when they give the weekly update, it’ll probably reach that standard, meaning they are finalizing cases received 6 months ago.

I hope then they will switch to FSW.

If PPR is going to rain that day, we'd have seen them finalizing applications by now. Nothing is changing. I guess we will know what's up after they collated the results from the surveys and make operational plans. For now, it's best to stick with the "I-expect-nothing" mentality.

Unfortunately there are many July, August 2020 CEC applications still stuck. They may start processing those as well

Obviously until travel restrictions are lifted, CEC would get priority in processing. But after restrictions are lifted, I think it'll be the cases that have a stronger chance to be finalized before 2021 that'll be given priority, regardless of CEC or FSW. After all, there's no point wasting time on a CEC app that won't help 2021 targets just for the sake of prioritizing CECs.

I wish this would become the reality once travel restrictions are lifted
