I highly doubt that, because people can still travel via third country. But again, you never know what IRCC has planned for all of us!

Guys for now, I would stop speculating on the potential "excuse" for not starting FSW draws or whatever you want to call it. Lets wait and see there is no point to do that for now
there is no point to do that for now Although even the backlog excuse is not acceptable at all for me! If it was the case, why they conducted fsw draws last year when they had backlog of expired coprs and applicants from 2020 and 2019?
Guess they are just buying some time for themselves these days, even by reducing the number of invitations per draw. I think fsw draws will inevitably happen this year, we are just waiting to see when they run out of non-sense excuses.

So far, the most convincing reason why I believe they stalled application processing and FSW draws is because of travel restrictions as revealed by LegalFalcon.
I took my time again to read every bit of those documents and the summary posted by him and it all just points to this
We can clearly see that things are coming back to kind of normal
There were a lot of things that happened in favour of FSW draws. I would not be surprised if there will be one or two more CEC draws but they will come down. We can clearly see that there is already a small amount of them above 400 points. What I expect now is that there might be some further protests from potential CEC candidates that have very low scores
I am not saying that these people are not important or do not deserve to get a PR however there have to be a common sense.
