I did say 6 months documents validity, not necessarily every applicant from 2021.

It seems that the validity of medical documents start when the medicals are "approved" by IRCC. See https://www.canpakspousal.com/home/faqs/validity-copr-medical-im1

My question, though, is the point at which this "6 months" is considered. My medicals were passed soon after my AOR in Feb 2021, so I would fit into Group A at the moment, but after mid-August I would fit into Group B.

Are you serious? My AOR is May 2020. This would drive me to mental asylum if my case gets finalized in 2022. :mad:
At least we will have to till October to December, depends on how quickly they get through applications from Group A and B. Also depends on if IRCC decides to extend our documents or ask for re-submission.

No, they are sending these email to those who are :-
1. Born under Virgo star sign
2. Were 3rd born son/daughter of the fourth born son of fifth born daughter of a non-canadian.
3. Have a Grass type Pokemon
4. Blood group is NOT Rh -ve... Seriously Canada has too many Rh -ve people!
5. Above all, have petted 6 moose and 3 geese
‘Petted 6 moose and 3 geese’ ROFL

Woke up and found an email from the IRCC, got excited for a second, only to find out its a questionnaire invitation...

Did you undergo an Immigration Medical Exam for your permanent residence (PR) application between 2nd June 2021 and today?

Any idea why this question might have been asked in the survey received today?

I think it's just about sampling.

My understanding is as follows;

Purely outland files (ALL applicants in the application are outside Canada) are to be grouped into 3 categories.

If the International Network Office has the capacity to process COPRs and based on local conditions, then at the moment;

Group A (COPR will be valid for 6 months or more if issued) - Make Final Decision and issue COPR with travel restriction advisory letter.

Group B- (COPR will have 3 months or more validity if issued) Group applications but do not make Final Decision

Group C (less than 3 months) Group applications (separate from Group B) but do not make Final decision.

IF Travel restrictions have been lifted by September, then;

Group A- Same as above
Group B & C- Proceed to Final decision and issue documents. Reassess admissibility if less than 3 months.

There is also further guidance for December (maybe in case restrictions are not eased in September)

I think the COPR validity length is based on the expiration of medicals and other admissibility reviews. I.e your COPR cannot extend beyond how long your document assessments are valid for. That would be a factor in the groupings.

@legalfalcon sorry to bother you, but is this information confirmed and from a trusted source? And based on this, is this a good idea for FSW-O (AOR NOV 2020) to redo medicals ASAP if for today validity is 3 months and few days, and on sept 9 it will be less than 3 months?

And what about PCC from my home country I still reside in and had no trips outside since AOR?

I didn't order GSMC and I don't know what stages my application have passed (besides passed medicals) as there was no point in knowing it until I read the message above.

I was wondering if we could go for Upfront Medical Exam!
My medical has not been extended and I have not been contacted by IRCC to do my medical again. I know in all the forums and FB groups they're are advising not to go for upfront medical exam until asked by IRCC. But this question just made me think what if we do?
