Applying for Open Work Permit

Hello Guys,

As per the above link, Canada is extending work permits for people whose work permits expire by Nov 27, 2021 (expiring within 4 months from July 27, 2021)

I have applied for PR and haven't received ITA at all due to COVID since it's in FSW category.

My current work permit expires on Dec 03, 2021 - one week after the deadline they are saying.

Can someone please clarify whether it would help if i apply for this open work permit though my work permit expires 1 week after their deadline?

You don't qualify for a work permit under the policy. If you apply, your application will be refused. You'll need to wait and see if IRCC extends the dates.
