so basically we in limbo between that period of time we cant travel :(
One of my friend had same situation - when he board the flight his TRV as worker shows invalid as he becomes PR and he dont have PR card as well. So he was unable to travel. Once u become PR , work visa becomes invalid, u need PRTD to travel back.
But how on boarding airlines identify you have PR. You are showing only your TRV. In my understanding only Canada immigration would be able to identify you have a valid PR and prior to that there was a work permit

I guess the same, those who travel with previous TRV after receiving COPR will be questioned by Canada Immigration!

Yes, Waiting since May 18. How to link applications?
VO: Eobicoke
Login to your CIC account, check whether your PR application is showing approved. If yes, click on add/link an existing application!
Select application type “PR Card”
Select option “UCI & Family Name”

Note: At “Place of Birth” field in “City of Birth” box enter the characters exactly as per your passport (including any punctuations) and then you would be able to link it!

Thank you so much. I applied through the PR confirmation portal and received eCOPR online. Does this process apply to me as well? Or is it only for those who received COPR by mail and posted their photos?

It’s for everyone whoever already received their COPR!

Thanks. I followed the steps and the status is "Submitted". Does it have a meaning? My photo is still "in review" in the PR confirmation portal.
Do you know what I can do to link my dependent account as well? I am not sure if I can link her application to my account at this stage? Can she do the same through her own CIC account? She did not use her CIC account for PR-related works at all.

You’ll get updates there whenever they’re processing your PR Card, like “approved & mailed” etc. Your PR confirmation portal also shows your photo from “in review” to “approved” (not mandatory though).

For you wife’s application, try to link it on your account and see, if it’s not working then, create a new CIC account for her and link it!

They cannot know u have valid PR or not, while they scan ur visa the system will show as invalid visa .

But this is applicable only while coming back to Canada right? I think going out of Canada without PR card or PRTD is not a problem if have a valid Passport to the destination country. Is there any contention with my understanding?

Yes correct. Coming back to Canada we need either PR card or PRTD. Going to home country we need passport only.
