When students gets WP, how do we handle health insurance for the period without jobs?

Health insurance is not ties to jobs as a student. Either you qualify for provincial coverage or you pay into an international student plan through your school. It depends on the province.
Yes I am paying right now for health insurance. But once my studies are over, I have work permitand I am taking a break before jumping into the job market, will I need to buy health insurance?
Just extend your cover with your current provider, you will have to pay for the extended cover
Given that OP has UHIP which is a more comprehensive coverage and arranged through the school they don’t actually have a personal relationship with the insurance provider. They will likely have to move to an emergency health policy to try and protect themselves from an expensive unexpected medical situation yet have to pay for routine care. Would shop around between the major Canadian insurers but also read the fine print,
